Management is Horrid - never again in a Marriott.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/20/08
We booked a stay for two nights in the middle of the week. The person I was with was handicapped and this hotel does not have any elevators. They put us on the second floor after we asked to be on the first floor. Management was outright rude to us, they refused to assist us in moving to a lower floor unit, and the manager of this hotel actually yelled and screamed at my partner and called me a liar. Marriott hotels has refused to appologize for the actions of their management staff. While there they offer a free shopping service. Everything that was on our list was in one way or another wrong upon delivery. The units have fireplaces and when we called down to the front desk to inquire about wood they told us to come down to the front desk to purchase logs. When we got there we were told they had been out of logs for over a week. While cleaning the bathroom, the cleaning staff broke, threw away, and did not replace my shaving mug leaving me without shaving supplies while on a business trip. In the ordeal of moving on our last night from the second floor to the first floor at the other end of the hotel property with no assistance from the staff after requesting assistance, a pair of very expensive slacks were left behind and were requested to be returned, after a coupe of weeks they still have not been returned. Also, note that of 3 hot tubs in the complex, which is not a hotel, but rather more like a town home complex meets a motel, two of them were either drained or simply locked up an unable to be accessed.
All in all, aside from the poor service and absolutely horrid actions on the part of the management, I refuse to ever stay at another Marriott due to the fact that their corporate offices have refused to do anything at all about the actions of their staff at this hotel.
