We learned that a good nights sleep is priceless!

First off, it was a great location which we found very convenient. We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. For some reason, housekeeping did not service our room that first night and we were told to request it for the next day. Night-time staff was not as friendly or helpful as daytime staff. The parking was ridiculous--and you pay for it so you'd think it'd be better! It was not secured and thankfully we had a small rental car because you could barely maneuver in and out of the spaces (I would get out to direct my husband so he wouldn't hit poles or other cars!). Sleeping was a whole 'nother story! :( The bed was okay--although I am convinced our bed had bugs in it as my legs started itching! Also, the windows are not sound proof--the traffic from the street was LOUD. We had to have the air on (even though it was relatively nice out and wasn't absolutely necessary) just to mask the noise from the street. But every 20 to 30 minutes, the AC would make banging noises. My husband got very little sleep, but thankfully I had earplugs! On our way to the hotel room, they had the door to the housekeeping room open (where towels and such are stored)--holy crap! I thought we were at an orphanage or a third world country. It was dirty and gross in there. They also had some metal cribs (probably not even up to code anymore) for children--scary! If you have kids, definitely bring your own portable crib. Or better yet, stay somewhere else. The cost to stay here was cheaper than other places in the area, however, I still felt like we paid too much for what we got. My husband and I have learned our lesson: A good nights sleep (and personal safety) are priceless--pay more for a better hotel. When we return to Seattle, we will NOT be staying at the Ramada Inn Downtown.
