Wonderful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/17/09
Well i booked from hot wire for the first time so i didn't know if i would get a decent hotel or not and once i booked and arrived at the inn with my family of 5 i thought it was just exquisite it was convenient for example it was close to shopping and near-by attractions. The room was beautiful...it was roomy and the kids and my husband and i really loved it. It gave a wonderful view of the lake view. It was a great location where you could see the best of seattle. It was a decent price for this luxury inn. I would it wasn't a waste of money at all. The experience was fun for me and my husband and the kids loved it too which is important in a quality hotel/resort. I really enjoyed it here and i would recommend it to couples, families and business trips.

Best hotel I've ever stayed at!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/29/09
The water view room we stayed in overlooked Pike Place Market and Puget Sound. You could open the windows and get the fresh Washington air and sounds from the market below. This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The service was outstanding! Privacy was respected. This is the best place you could possibly stay in downtown Seattle.

Nice place, right price, right location
By Jane C, 02/15/09
I love this place it 's nearby everything, from Pike Market, the french breakfast place, the monorail to Space Needle and the walking distance to the ferry ride and aquarium and seafood restaurant. Employees are all nice and they are very cordial.

Great location and priced accordingly...
By James Tiberius, 06/26/08
This is a very nice smaller hotel less than a block from the fabulous pike place market and the waterfront. It is tastefully appointed although the rooms are a bit small. There is a beautiful observation deck on the 5th floor with great views of Puget Sound and the waterfront. Parking is a problem and you're better off using their valet service. Geared more toward adult travelers than hoardes of screaming children. Very comfortable bed and linens. Rather expensive, but you're paying for the location. Worth it if you're planning on spending a lot of your time in the marketplace and the waterfront.

Not a child friendly hotel.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/24/08
My family and I stayed at this inn for 5 days because our normal hotel (the Four Sisters Inn- which is wonderful!) was fully booked. We stayed in the Parlor Suite, and overall it is a nice property. I was how ever disappointed when I got to our room and it was much smaller than I expected. Several pieces of the wood furniture looked a bit 'rough around the edges' and the upholstery on the couch and arm chairs was fairly dingy. The staff was very pleasant, however the housekeeping didn't empty our trash one day or windex the glass table or mirror. The Tempur-Pedic bed is extremely firm and gave my husband and I back aches. The room service arrived cold and menu was very limited. Perhaps I just expected more for the $550+ we were spending per night. The most disappointing aspect was the fact that, my husband and I were traveling with our 5 year old son (who was sick 2 days of our trip and we were stuck indoors) and there was absolutely no children's tv channels(nick or disney) or pay per view movies. In fact the cable was extremely limited, only local channels, local access, and a verity of cnn or sports networks. They don't have discovery,mtv,vh1,tlc,history,food network, bravo, and so on. The 8 movies they had were not anything that would entertain a child. My son was very bored and this is not a child friendly hotel!

Hit and miss...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/13/08
We visit Seattle at least once a year and have stayed at a number of wonderful hotels... this was our first stay at the IATM. Stayed for 4 nights. Wife's birthday. First the good... Nice little birthday cupcakes in room. Staff is very considerate and helpful. Location is the best thing. Now the bad... The hotel had lots of available rooms but we were given a small room with a terrible layout. When we asked to be moved the person at the desk implied that most people disliked the room we were given. The next room, had an old Tempur-pedic mattress that sagged in the middle. After a very uncomfortable night we moved again. This time the room was okay, however, the elevator noise was unrelenting and everytime someone accessed the courtyard rooms the corridor door slammed loudly. Decided to just tough it out and not move again. However, the worst ripoff is the horrible treatment we received from Bacco - the hotel bistro that provides room service and eat-in breakfast. While they brag about fresh ingredients from Pikes market our breakfasts were tired fruit salads and dry French toast that proclaimed warm maple syrup and came with packaged fake syrup. When we complained the excuse the restaurant person offered was they couldn't get fresh berries or real Maple syrup. BTW, this was a 'busboy' because the waiter had left the restaurant for a smoke or something and the chef couldn't be bothered. Duh... Pikes market is next door. There are many great restaurants DO NOT go here! Conclusion, the staff is great... unfortunately, the hotel needs to work on client comfort. We won't be staying here again! R P - Vancouver.

location was perfect
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/07
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

I Loved the setting. It was breathtaking watching the ferries come and go while I Sipped coffee upstairs at the Inn. Walked down the hill to be engulfed by bouquets of flowers. I loved it
