Great resort for first time skiiers and beginners. We are very expereinced skiers, who went with some family friends who have been going to Wintergreen for years, so our expecations were to have fun with friends and relax. With that in mind, we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Diamond Hill Area condos that were ski-in-ski-out. They were perfect and comfortable. We hired a babysitter of the approved list. My only disappointment was the apprearance of the sitters. Keep in mind I am very picky, but would really appreciate a picture or references. The sitter worked out fine, but not to exceed our expectations which was disappointing. The Black diamonds are more like blues and there are only 5 lift and 25 something runs. Overall a very nice place that we will visit again as a "warm-up" to our annual Colorado ski trip!

Don’t let anybody tell you that Wintergreen Resort ( Rt. 29 south of Charlottesville, VA) is just for winter. When my sister, who lives in Richmond, suggested that we take my mom, who lives in Alexandria, there for Mother's Day, I thought it was a pretty silly idea. Wintergreen is a cold weather ski resort, right? Wrong. We did take my mom to the spa there for Mother’s Day, a gift that treated all three of us. The second week of May on Wintergreen Mountain is incredibly beautiful. The spa must be one of the highest points because it feels like you can see across the whole state from there. Huge windows surround the salon, indoor pool, hot tub and lounge and give you a view second to none. So while we were waiting for our hot stone massage and manicures, we were gazing at thickets of mountain laurel just in bloom, dogwoods flowering and birds everywhere – viewed through the mist of a late spring afternoon. That is serenity and inspiration rolled into one. It was a great discovery. Maybe they call it Wintergreen so not everyone will know how brilliant spring is and it won’t get too crowded. But since I’m now in on the secret, you can bet that our family will be meeting there again in the spring – and probably the summer and fall as well.

Took a trip with all my golfing buddies.... It was oustanding... The best mountain golf east of the rockies 45 fantastic holes designed by some of the best golf designers... Rees Jones and Ellis Maples... The Golf Staff was excellent and extremely service oriented... they provided for an excellent time.. The golf courses were in outstanding condition and the new Tuckahoe course was one of the best I have ever played... The food was excellent in particular Devils Grill at the Devils Knob Golf Club... A must play for group of buddies to take a weekend trip away...
