Fall is here in Shenandoah Valley at the Winchester, Virginia Shoney*s Inn. The temperatures are a beautiful 70*s and 80*s...the trees are gearing up for changing leaf color! Our community has been blessed with a bountiful apple industry, and farmers are in full swing harvesting the different varieties. Local farm markets set the mood-can you smell the freshly baked apple pies? Have some cider, take with you locally made apple butter, different jellies, jams, and sauces. Experience the restaurants, live music, art galleries, and unique shops of Historic Downtown where pumpkins, gourds, and fall mums lend color to the beautiful architecture. Take a warm afternoon drive to Shenandoah National Park-Skyline Drive, *our portion*, of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Enjoy a farm tour, wine festival, or civil war re-enactment just a few of the events that mark the season in our area! Play a round of golf along the Shenandoah River at just one of 10 golf courses close by. Experience fall in the Shenandoah Valley at Shoney*s Inn centrally located to your choice of activities in and around Winchester, Virginia.

Poor Customer Service - Invasion of Privacy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/02/08
My family has stayed at this Winchester location many, many times over the last 20 years, and until recently we have never been dissatisfied. But it has been several years since we stayed there until this past December - when we were visiting my sister in Stephens City. At this stay, a loud knock came on our door early morning and then a housekeeping person was just ready to access our room to enter to clean; my wife and I were not even up and out of bed. We had reserved and paid for a late check-out in advance for one night and housekeeping was interrupting our stay at about 9 a.m. Then, our son had stayed there last week because we had a close family member's funeral in Stephens City the next day, and in the early morning after, he and his guest received a loud knock and then an entry to their room demanding $22.00 for a phone bill. My son paid for his room upon check-in and knew he had an obligation to pay the phone bill upon check-out when he returned the key. The hotel employee would not leave their room until my son paid the $22 for the phone bill, and that employee was adamant and rude about it. What kind of hotel has this become? How dissapointing to see a nationally- reputed hotel chain go downhill to these kind of tactics with honest, long-term customers. Even worse, my husband communicated with Manager Brad Patel through fax, snail mail and voice mail to nicely lodge our complaints, but Mr. Patel never returned our calls or addressed our concerns. Shoney's will never again be our hotel of choice when we travel, and we do travel quite often
