Quality Inn Lynchburg, Lynchburg

When I checked in I was asked to initial a sheet at the desk that quoted the rates as $110 and $160 (Fri & Sat). When I asked for a copy I was rudely told no, that I should not have seen those rates. My credit card was charged nearly $200/night months before when I'd made the reservation for a conference. I was also told that if I continued to ask for a copy I would be asked to vacate my room. The 'non-smoking' room smelled of smoke, there was mold on the bathroom walls, the clock radio and coffee pot didn't work, I left a wake-up call which never came. Outside the room (in the foot high grass) was a rusty charcoal grill, a bed-pillow, and trash. All parking at the front of the hotel was blocked off for a biker group - we couldn't park there even though we were handicapped. At check-out they also refused to give a receipt.

The place was dirty. Our room had someone's phone charger still plugged in and lying on the table by the bed. Under the bedspread on the floor near the base of the bed was some paper and two plastic forks. We were afraid to check any other "hiding" places. The hallway had pieces of paper scattered all down it when we got there and when we left two days later. The breakfast was okay. The beds and towels seemed to be clean. The cleaning crew just needs to perform their duties a little better.

Stayed two nights staff was friendly and helpful enough,(didn't ask them for any thing though) but room was not very clean, could clearly see where the only part vacumed in a very long time was where the vacume could easily reach, around basboards and corners were filthy. Carpet was so dirty feet were black after walking around room barefooted. Have learned from past exp. not to ask to have a room recleaned, bad things can happen while you sleep. (Not talking about this motel) kinda like complaining at a resturant and getting your food spit in. Am reluctant to reserve any room with this chain again, because if it's dirty when I get there I'm still stuck paying for it. Not much quality in Quality Inn Are there any inspections done to maintain a franchise? Doesn't look like it.

We stayed here last year during the month of July and had 20 rooms for the team. We never had any problems with the staff, The breakfast that is included included waffles fresh made, sometimes bacon sausage pancakes, cereal. Very nice staff. Very attentive to your needs.

This hotel I'm sure isn't the best in Lynchburg, reasonable accommodations, but I'm sure it's not the worst either. The train whistle does blow quite often and if your a light sleeper or have small children it may not be wise. It is located away from everything which can be good if you like solitude, but bad if you don't like to keep driving or like Outback steakhouse, as that's the only restaurant close, no stores, and the pool was not open. Regarding the staff, I think I have to agree they could use training in how to greet and treat people and they were rather lazy. However, for me the biggest problem was the elevator stopped working and everyone had to use the stairs even carrying luggage. Deplorable and inexcusable for $200.00 a night. Would I stay there again? Only if there was no place better and when the planets are all aligned. lol

We just recently tried to stay the night here and it was one of the worst experince ever ,The staff were arguementive from the second we stepped throught their door , we checked in @ 3:45 rooms still wasnt cleaned .Horrible I wouldnt recommened to anyone the manager and general manager eventually came knocking on our door and accused us of smoking in the non-smoking rooms. Managers very unprofessional

Too close to railroad tracks. Hotel should advise patrons that the train horn blows every fifteen minutes (four times each) all night long. Many folks were complaining and the hotel staff was clueless. In order for this hotel to continue to exist, this has to be solved. Until recently, this was not an issue.

An adequate hotel in an area lacking excellent choices. Room was clean and functional. Free breakfast a plus. Conveniently located. One thing I did not appreciate was that since I visited during Liberty's graduation and they definitely raised prices to take advantage of this opportunity.
