New and Improved !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/31/10
This hotel is completely redone and the service is excellent. I will definitely stay here again. We had no problems. The $10.00 for access to the internet is a little crazy for these days so I took some points off from the service rating.

Never Again
By DEMETRIUS, 6/11/10
You have to pay for internet!, c'mon As for the TV or cable, some rooms carried the NBA playoffs and some rooms didn't........ Rooms are noisey with the individual a/c units in the ceiling. Somehow the temperature in the hotel is very warm. the gym is nice...couldn't plug in my ipod due to wires sticking out of the machine.

By William J, 2/16/10
I am traveling every week here on business and we stay here every week. It has been refurbished and is VERY nice. The food is not bad and the service is great. TERRIFIC fitness center. I urge folks to give it a try

Dont stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/08
I have stayed here several times in the past but very dissatisfied currently. It took several phone calls to even get reservations and upon arrival room was not ready nor the one reservations were made for. Heating system is not working appropriately throughout (I went next door to Home Depot and purchased a space heater). Parking is limited because of the construction. After my first night of a three day business trip I was required to change rooms due to the construction....Dont stay until renovations are complete. They will not notify you if you make reservations that they are having extreme difficulties currently or even undergoing changes

I would skip this one!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/3/08
First I wish they would have told us about the renovations going on. The pool, hot tub and the tennis courts were out of service. The hospitality was awful. When there was a question about the bill the hotel staff was not so accomodating to clear up any questions, as to "why we had been charged twice, just that they wanted us to not report recieving a bill direct to our room and be overcharged by triple AAA." (Since we had already paid in advance.

We were there for my daughters soccer tournament and had a great experience. Good rate, nice hotel, great location and great pools. Everyone really enjoyed it.

Not as good as other Wyndham hotels.
By Bruce, 9/3/06
I had stayed here a while back and had a less than enjoyable experience. The room was damp and musty, and the heat/ac was noisy. Service was below standard as well. After some time, I decided to visit again to see if there were any changes. If anything, this place has become even worse than it was a couple years ago! Upon arrival, there was a mix-up causing me to be directed to the wrong room. When I went back to the desk to straighten things out, they were rude and offered no apology! When I got to my room, it was just as damp and musty as before. In fact, the whole hotel smells like a wet shoe. Yuck! This is the last time I stay here. I wish they would rehab this place and replace the staff with customer service professionals. Air it out, re-decorate, and get a better staff and this place could be the highlight of a visit to Roanoke. As things stand, it is the part of my trip that I hope to forget!

Over-priced, over-rated, not worth it!!
By JM, 7/28/06
Non-functioning air conditiong system, musty rooms, the entire hotel (rooms, lobby, hotel bar)smelled old and musty. The water pressure in my room was low and shower cut off periodically. This room cost over $100 and my experience was unacceptable.

I will never Stay there again!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/15/06
My husband and I checked in to the Hotel at around 11:30p.m. on a Friday night. We were tired from traveling and I pulled down the bed covers and discovered the bed had been made without changing the sheets!! Then I discovered a cigarette butt in the floor beside the bed. Wait, it gets better, when I called to the front desk to complain, they sent sheets up to our room for us to change our own bed!! I then called the Hotel Manager who moved us to a suite. The Hotel in Roanoke is very out-dated and smells of dampness and mildew. The service is horrible. The front desk people treated us like they were doing us a favor by letting us stay there. I've stayed at some very nice hotels and a few bad ones, but I can tell you now, I would stay at a cheap clean hotel before I would stay there again.

I liked this hotel. It was beautiful inside and packed with extras. I loved the place. Castle-like interior. Beautiful. Paid around 150 for the room.
