Horrible Stay...Beware!
While a value in price, you pay for it in many other aspects of this property and customer service of staff and owner. My family and I had visited Williamsburg on 08/15 - 08/17. We we in a separate building detached from the main building in the back. Lighting was poor, parking was insufficient, staff was very unhelpful and unavailable most of the time. Our room was decent, however the exhaust fan in the bathroom was inoperable and made showering uncomfortable. We had to leave the bathroom door ajar to ventilate the steam, which in turn made the rest of the room humid and uncomfortable. Not to mention the lack of privacy while bathing. We checked-in at 3:00pm and request a roll-a-way bed via calling front desk. To make it shirt we didn't obtain this bed until well after 1:30am and having to physically go to the front desk to make this happen. T.V. stations were few and tuned in fuzzy at best. In room internet reception was so poor I couldn't visit several simple sites to handle business affairs. No security on premises allowing unsavory guest and non-guest to loiter outside our room, the parking lot, stairwells and other common areas. I was approached on several occasions by people in parking areas asking for "spare change." We had to park in the front of main building and walk back to our building, leaving my car out of sight and too far to check on. We were so informed by front desk staff, when asked where we could park, quote; "where ever you can find a place." The lack of concern for guest relations and security was ridiculous. I contacted Choice Hotels, the parent company of this franchisee, and the owner of this particular property. While Choice Hotels were concerned about my experiences, the owner of Clarion Inn and Suites has failed to show any real concern and has failed to rectify this situation. To this day I haven't been satisfied. While I normally do not complain this place and staff from owner down (with the exception on a few) has made me quite livid. I did not intend on receiving anything in return generated from my complaints, but when I was treated as if I didn't matter and set aside...well hopefully all that read this will understand why I have pursued this matter with such vigor. If I were you I would seriously reconsider the Clarion Inn and Suites Williamsburg before booking a stay there.
