Holiday Inn Oceanside 21St, Virginia Beach

This hotel is great!! it has the best location and the best view of the BEAUTIFUL Virginia Beach. The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, the TV has many channels and the bathrooms are pretty clean! the balcony is the best part, it shows the fantastic view of the beach!! the indoor pool is big and parking is fine. only one problem....the hallways are SMOKING HOT from the glass!! there's no AC in the hallways going to the room, besides that.....THIS HOTELS GREAT!! recommend it :) very reasonable and cheap prices

The toilet in our room did not flush the refrigerator did not work The Lattitude and Attitudes Restaurant the waitress we had did not want to be there the soda was flat. The pizza took 40 minutes then was not ours they had to make another one that took another 40 min then it slid off the stand.The chips they serve with the sandwiches have a chili seasoning on them which was horrible. Access to Beach great Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. For the amount we paid was not the best.Hotel was easy to get too had to park in secondary lot which was ok

We stayed there for 2 nights and when we got there there was a lot of fiasco going on in the lobby with the line to check in but they manged to handle it. The parking lot in front of the hotel is so small so we had to park in the secondary lot. It was storming but somehow we managed to work it out. The I loved the balcony overlooking the beach. It was so beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom had new towels that looked pure white. The bath, the sink and the room looked clean. My favorite though was the location. It was close to everything, a McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Wendys, a putt putt center and even a dairy queen and 7 eleven. I also liked that there were soda machines close to the elevators and our room (on the 6th floor) PLEASE STAY HERE!!!

Enjoyed a 4 night stay. Private balcony was delightful get away spot and beds were very comfortable. Room was clean, with good quality bed and bath linens. HI parking in lot @ hotel and near by lot is insufficient, extremely tight and staffed by puerile, uncaring attendants. It was very STRESSFUL, worrying about if there would be a space available and if I could wedge my car into it. Having to deal with a parking hassle each time the car is used, has me deciding against using the hotel again. Pity because location was great.

Booked 2 nights end of feb. Hotel room was disgusting: 1) blood on carpet (large stain) 2) mold in bathroom 3) hair in drawers. Checked out early, was told through priority club would here from manager...and NEVER HEARD A WORD

I really enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn. The hotel was in a great location and right on the beach. Everyone that we encountered at the hotel was super friendly. You dont see that much anymore.

What I like about it, was on the beach which was close to everything, but what I did not like, was I secure my room with my Visa card, and they gave me the options, whether to pay with my card or money, I opt to pay with money, which I did when I check out, but ooh to my surprise they had also charge my card, If I had not check my account when I return I would not have know. Tell me when it's okay to double charge you, because he said it was for security measure, after I call back to the Hotel once I reach home, and then he said that would credit my account in two to three business days, if they could take it out that day why can't I get the same day????

When we entered the hallway to our floor there was a very foul Odor that burned my sinuses ...there were dirty "scrubbable " fingerprints allover bathroom door. Spoke with someone else after we left the hotel and they thought also that the hallway smelled ALOT Like chemicals and possibly the fact that the hallway was SO HOT that possibly made it worse...Also Much dust around the turntable of TV...Would not recommend hotel if you have allergies,Suggested that they check their filtration system. They Seemed very Offended that i Offered my complaints and that i was the only one besides my husband.i was given a NOMINAL refund. Dining room was really nice,Service a little slow But food was tasty. the rounded tables facing the beach were very nice. Area around pool a little small but functional.

After entering the hotel, which was so easy to find,I was a bit skeptical because while standing in line to check in, another person was there to complain about a leak in his room that had been "patched". He was requesting another room, and seemed to have no problem getting another. I told my sister and daughter, "we better go check our room before we go get our luggage." Upon entering our room we were pleasantly pleased. It was clean, didn't have any odors, everything was clean, crisp and new looking. The mattress was wonderful! It felt as if it was quite possibly a new one. This feature is important to me since I have back problems. It was hard to get the toilet to flush but we figured it out.I wish there was more parking "AT" the hotel. Being a handicap, I had to park a block away and walk back to the hotel that night because it was full. The dining room,front desk & housekeeping personel were friendly and accommodating. However, I did think that $214.00 a night for the room was quite expensive since I have stayed at more a prestigious hotel in the Myrtle Beach area, on the beach with all the ammenites/activites you could possibly want right on site for $133.00 a night in the peak season. There is absolutely no doubt that we would use this Holiday Inn Oceanside,Virginia Beach again. In fact, are planning to go there again next summer. (date of stay August 13, 2006)

The hotel was very clean, the staff was very helpful, and the view of the ocean was wonderful. Perfect vacation spot! But, the parking is horrible - after paying top dollar for a hotel room and having to park two blocks away in the overflow lots seemed a bit much! In addition, there was never any ice. The guests would fill up their coolers in the morning and all of the ice would be gone by mid-morning. They need to put in cooler ice machines and then the parking would be much more bearable. But, overall I would recommend this hotel to any and all individuals traveling to Virginia Beach for their vacation.
