Airport Plaza Hotel Roanoke, Roanoke

This place was Run Down! Only one working elevator. All of the rooms were Dirty; Smelled of body odor/piss and the bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months! We had to go buy cleaning supplies (Clorox wipes and Lysol) to clean the bathrooms before using them. The hotel provides two, yes two towels per room per stay not per day, per stay. We had to go out and Buy towels. When we inquired about more towels, the owner, informed me that he uses a towel several time before washing it. Oh, did I forget to mention that the towels were so thin you could practically see thru them! The Computers/Wireless: Wireless was spotty at best! Signal was weak The beds were okay, I was afraid to look at the mattress!!! Breakfast: Really? You call a few micro waved pancakes, biscuits and link sausages an expanded breakfast? Not to mention the small dining room was FILTHY! The Pool: Ugh... the water was cloudy! This place rents by the weeks to people that live there, and one night there were several Police cars there !You Get What You Pay For! At the price this place charges, you got slightly better than sleeping on the street! Wait, actually sleeping on the street would be cleaner, better and probably safer! If there are positive reviews on here, I'm pretty sure they are being posted by the hotel owner or staff. No one in their right mind would ever say staying at this place was a good experience.

I recently book a 2 night stay for the 4th July for a family reunion. I was very diappointing with room. It was fifthy. The service was sorry. The workers were rude and the desk clerk was so unreasonable. I tried to get my money back but that was impossible. The oonly god thing is the rates but that is questionable. You get what you pay for you know. Having a pool was what attracted me while browsing for places to stay along with the price. But if I had to do it again I will gladly pay the price for a clean hotel. If anyone decides to stay there bring your own cleaning supplies and bed linens and blankets - you will need them.

it looks like the place is being improved friendly staff and very helpful the room was good the breakfast was okay but it could be better i liked the landscaping work they were doing

I visited my family for a funeral. At first I was leary of the place. After my vehicle had engine problems the Hotel owner took me to a local mechanic and provided me with transportaion at no charge. Service is everything to me and they were very helpful. Rooms were ok, but service was great.

I have stayed at this location before to my displeasure. Because of the location and price I continue to visit. It seams as if the Hotel is being worked on and that it is improving.

i go to roanoke once a month to visit my family last time visited my family i stayed at this place the room was okay the location was the best thing they had very near to the airport
