DO NOT STAY HERE! I repeat, DO NOT STAY HERE!

I am warning you. For all of the reasons that others have mentioned and more, this is not the place you want to be, yourself, and surely not your family. Thankfully I made it out alive, though I almost hauled out a little after midnight. Townspeople are said to know how bad this place is - I just wish I had known, myself. Like others say, the clerks are generally pretty nice. But the good experience stops there. Oh, wait, the Property Manager, Ms. Wright, is seemingly pretty nice, too. But the owner is a lying crook. As a matter of fact, the owner is actually the Arab gentleman posing as a clerk, I believe (based on my phone conversations). And any attempt at a refund after all of the many issues already listed will be too late and in vain. Once the money is in their pockets, it is as good as gone. I read some of the other posts, and noted that the owner and manager have played the same game for a while now. Between them, they dance around the issue until the charge has been processed and until a refund is no longer really even an option - the manager defers to the owner, and then the owner defers to the manager. And it should be apparent by the many that have posted already that guest experience is definitely not their priority. And, another warning, the Visitor's Center is not permitted to post any negative information about the motels in the area, so heed the warnings that you see here. If and when you visit Bedford, rather look for a nice Bed and Breakfast - there are some nice ones around. Unfortunately, the only other motel in Bedford isn't a great option, either. I surely wish that I had thought to look a little more before trying to settle down for the night. Again, for your own good, DO NOT STAY HERE!
