We were very disappointed in our stay at the weathervane,,Our room was very shabby looking, cobwebs in the bathroom, alot of dust everywhere,The bed was not made very well ,the bottom sheet kept coming undone. The housekeeper need a bed making lesson and also to dust more ,even the top of the ice bucket had a inch of dust on it.We ended up leaving earlier then we were going to...I don recommed this motel to anyone Way to DIRTY!!

Great Place for the money, clean and nice.
By TW, 11/16/08
This is a nice place, the owner is amazing and a very nice person. Our room was a king suite with fireplace, very nice. The price was good as well, especially if you want a clean, comfortable place to stay that won't cost a fortune. If you want luxury stay at the Reluctant Panther.

Fabulous!
By Catherine, 10/17/08
This place is great. We do a get away each year with my Mom and my sisters. Last year we decided to do Manchester, VT but couldn't find a place to stay that I already knew of. I had been there several times with my husband but all of the places we stayed were small B&B's or rooms with 1 bed. We needed something a little bigger. I went on the internet and found the Weathervane Motel. We decided to give it a try and were so glad that we did. The room was HUGE! and the grounds were just beautiful. The owners were so nice and did everything that they could to make us feel welcome. We usually go someplace different every year, but we liked it so much that we are going back again this year!

Branko & Murveta are the best!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/15/08
If you haven't been here since Branko and Murveta took over, you are in for a real treat. You will be treated like long lost freinds welcomed into an inviting home. There are many choices in Manchester, but this is where you will want to return when you have stayed once with Branko and Murveta. This is a real hidden treasure in a very nice town.

GREAT Place
By Jim, 10/19/07
We stopped and stayed a couple nights here. The owners are great and the room was big and cozy. I paid a lot more than the $75 quoted here though! Despite that, I highly recommend this motel!

Our Yearly Family Trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/06
For many years my husband and I visited Manchester several times a year to relax and escape our busy lives before his sudden death 4 years ago. Since that time, our family makes a yearly weekend trip to Manchester to honor him and enjoy this wonderful area that he loved so much. We never stayed at the Weathervane, but last year I decided to try it, as the Motel we stayed in the year before was awful. I can't begin to tell you how great this place is. The rooms are spotless and tastefully decorated, and Murveta made our family feel like her own. When I called for reservations this year it felt like I was talking to an old friend. She is always helpful, friendly and accomodating. I recently called to add two more rooms to our reservations, we are now up to seven rooms, and she recognized my voice before I even told her who I was. This place truly feels like home away from home and I am looking forward to our weekend and many years of returning to this wonderful place.

Friendly and Acomodating Hosts
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/06
Great location, lovely lawns and facility. Quickly cleaned a room so we could watch the British open at 8:30 am, just on the heels of the previous guests and hours before check-in. Very accomodating and friendly. Price was better than we paid in surrounding area with a much larger room and great tub-shower (Ladies, you can actually shave your legs in this shower with out turning off water!) Great lounge chairs to watch the open starry skies. I will return.

Our winter weekend home away from home
By Jan, 02/10/06
This is an extremely nice motel in terms of location (close to all that Manchester has to offer, yet surrounded by wide lawns and views of the countryside)and huge rooms. We have stayed in other Manchester motels, and found much smaller rooms with cramped bathrooms, right on a busy road. However, the thing that really makes this motel stand out is the hospitality of the owners. I noticed the "not recommended" review by chance when I was browsing the Manchester travel section, looking for restaurant informantion. Quite frankly, I was astonished to read that the reviewer felt that the innkeepers were unfriendly. Could that person be talking about a different Weathervane Motel? I do not believe Murvetta and Branco are capable of being anything but warm, welcoming, and charming. I have sat in their lovely lobby by the blazing fire and watched them greet each arrival like an old friend. These two people have been working ceaselessly to restore this motel to its former glory. Every time we go we see additional evidence of that. This year there were new carpets in the rooms, as well as other improvements to the exterior. As far as cleanliness, it is absolutly spotless.

NOT RECOMENDED
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/07/05
This appeared to be a nice Inn. However, small details such as stained bed sheets and dirty carpets stood out. More importantly, the inn keepers were not particularilly warm and on several occasions were flat out rude. Poorly run.
