Description

The Equinox is home to the renowned Gleneagles Golf Course, offers an extensive array of year-round outdoor activities. The three restaurants on property also offer variety ranging from romantic intimacy to a historic tavern to golf club informality. The Resort also has two new additions to the property. The first addition is a new ballroom that has created 3,400 additional square feet of flexible, state-of-the-art function space. The second addition is a new 13,000 square foot Avanyu Spa that provides the utmost in spa experience and features a huge indoor pool.

We stay at this resort about once/year. It is a great weekend getaway. Nice rooms with comfortable beds. We also enjoy the spa and taking long walks around the town. Manchester is a beautiful town with a number of outlet type stores. The Equinox is located in the historic district and has a typical New England charm.

not a horrible experience

recently my 2 children, husband and myself stayed here. i thought it was a very busy non-relaxing atmosphere. there was alot of hussel from employees.i found that the bell staff seemed eager to help and most of the staff extremely nice.(there was one housekeeping supervisor that was pushy) we had a hurried sense. the room was comfy and was nicely cleaned. i feel that the price of the room does not reflect what you have, but would stay here again at the seasonal discounted rates.

Posh without Arrogance

The attention to detail was anticipated but not completely expected. The old-time charm was mixed with contemporary ammenities. Paying for a family reunion provided for anxious moments leading up to the weekend, but everyone left impressed if not amazed. The Christmas decorations and wood-burning fires provided for the perfect setting to sit, relax and visit. We're planning our second "annual" visit for this December.

the townhouses are really the place to stay...the view is great and it is a a fun happening...parking weak but had a great time ...the resort is really what vermont should be...

Total Disappointment

My husband and I are used to staying a nice hotels when we travel. So when I planned a quick weekend getaway to VT, I thought the Equinox and Orvitz Inn would be the best option. What a waste of money. We would have been better staying at a local B&B where the service is more personalized. At the Orvitz Inn it's all about Rock Resorts marketing. They make it look great and sell you on the ammenities, but when you arrive they fail to deliver. This is the second time we have stayed at a Rock Resort...and it will also be our last.
