Great accomodations, Great little town.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/09
We had a delightful stay here at the Parry Lodge. The rooms, while old, were clean and neat. The personnel were extremely friendly, and we were even able to come away with the receipe for the bread pudding. An early morning walk up a nearby canyon was delightful.

Love the place Parry Hotel and Kanab
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/07/09
We stayed 1 night at the Parry Hotel, then the next day did our site seeing. We decided before heading back to Phx AZ we wanted to stay 1 more night at the Parry Lodge. Just love it. I would recommend it to everyone. Kanab is small town feeling. Great to get away and get back to what life really is all about. Coming back to town (Phx AZ) told everyone about the experience. Found out my ex in laws, which still very close too. Stayed there 50 yrs ago. And it was still the same. Fantastic.

help
By commentor, 05/23/08
I didn't stay here because there weren't any available rooms. Looked like a bed and breakfast. Cute on the outside. The lady at the front was ever so helpfull in calling to see if other places were booked, which they were. Anyway, I always appreciate that type of service so thanks!

Unexpected find
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/07
On our way to Bryce Canyon we came across Kanab. Whilst driving through town we noticed Parry's and stopped to enquire. The bearded gentleman sat on the porch was very friendly and immediately we had checked in he mentioned about the free film show in the barn. It was the usual old fashioned cowboy film which had been filmed in the area. Rooms were decent size and the staff at breakfast were very helpful and efficient. We would certainly stay again if we are in that area. Indeed we only intended to stay one night enroute but made it our base to go to Bryce Canyon and thus stayed 2 nights.

Delightful Parry Lodge!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/20/07
May 2007 Parry Lodge is delightful and well situated for the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Lake Powell. It was all the little extras that made it so wonderful. The sign outside welcoming us personally, which made us laugh!! The rooms are clean, comfortable and the breakfast... Well! So much choice and so much lovely food. The staff were so genuine and approachable. It was certainly the best place we stayed while in USA and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Debbie

A Wonderful Experience
By Michele, 04/20/07
The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot. The new rooms are a bit noisy though, the walls are too thin. The older rooms are much quieter and the property is beautiful. The breakfast buffet is great and the price is better than I expected. They screen movies every night in the old barn and the staff is very friendly. Each room has a microwave and fridge and the rooms are spacious. Lots of movie stars have stayed here in the past and each room tells a story.

This place has personality!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/20/07
It is convenient to ALL the major Canyon Country sights, the staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet is well presented at the charmingly cheerful attached restaurant, the memorabilia of Hollywood's golden age is campy fun...and the staff can dish up some good gossip about the old stars. My husband and I have decided we won't bother staying at any of the 'cookiecutter' hotel chains when we return to the West...we can do & see it all from Parry Lodge as our base.

no rest at this inn...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/19/06
Our motel room was musty, the bed was so old and hard it was like sleeping on a brick. Literally the worst bed I've ever slept in, including camping trips. No one got any sleep (3 of us). Even the sheets smelled old. And the breakfast bar was stale as well.

What a unique experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/06
As someone who likes to stay away from chain hotels, stumbling on this place was a terrific surprise. The staff was great, the older rooms ( we stayed in the two bedroom Fred MacMurray room) were clean and comfortable and the photos in the lobby were great. The prices can't be better either. 1/2 price breakfast buffet was decent. A fun place to stay especially for movie buffs.

Staff bends over backwards!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/06
The Parry Lodge was chosen as H with Gaylene Gifford's assistance, we reserved several rooms for what we initially thought would be a small gathering of friends for a weekend's ride and get-together. The members of our on-line newsgroup expressed interest and Gaylene and the Lodge's staff were soon deluged with requests from around the world to reserve a chance to see your beautiful area. Attendees hailed from New Zealand, Canada and nearly every state. Many clubmembers also had Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner at Houston's, Fernando's Hideaway and several other great local restaurants and were all impressed with the quality of food and service provided. We were overwhelmed by the helpfulness of the staff at the Parry, the folks in Glazier's, the beauty of your area and the general friendliness of your town. We had a wonderful weekend. Thank you, Kanab!
