Won't be back!!! Keep your receipt... FOREVER!!!!

We stayed at Baymont Inn and Suites, SLC, UT in November of 2008, paying cash. In March of 2009 we suddenly had a charge appear on our credit card for the stay (over 4 months later!!!!!)... we tried to deal with the property over and over, even calling their corporate. We were told, on our voicemail, that it was a 'batch issue' and they refused to refund our money. In the end, they had no proof of us paying with the card (they demanded for incidentals), but since I only keep receipts for 3 months, not the 4 and 1/2 they took, they wouldn't refund ANY money. Their explanations and response time was horrible!! We won't EVER stay at a Baymont Inn and Suites again!!
This is sad, since the rooms were clean, and the help was nice, except for the manager who dealt with this issue.
They refused to help, even though they admitted to the first mistake!! Lesson learned... we won't be back!! Learn from our experience!!
