Horrible Night's Sleep
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/13/06
We chose this hotel because we needed a room large enough for four adults and a child, and everywhere else was booked. Our stay was going to be two nights. The room was mostly clean, but very very old. The walls are white cinderblock, and no one has taken any time to decorate with anything. The front door had no deadbolt or chain, just a push button lock. There was a door to the adjoining room that also had no deadbolt, just a flimsy slide lock. We didn't feel exactly safe. The walls kept no noise out so we heard people coming and going all night. The worst thing of all was the bed! It was comparable to sleeping on plywood! At some time during the night, each of our party considered sleeping on the floor or going out to the car. We all woke up with sore backs and necks. We all decided that there was no way we would stay there another night. We would either find a better place or go home. We checked out the next morning and found a room at the Best Western Antlers. We will never ever stay at the Lamplighter again. We will book at the Antlers instead.
