Ambassador Hotel Amarillo, Amarillo

Stayed at the Ambassador Hotel-Amarillo when I went to visit my daughter at college. She and two friends came and stayed with me, and all were pleased. Arrived about 10 pm on Friday night and was greeted very warmly by the staff. Knowing I would need a room large enough for four, I booked one of the suites that are located on their Concierge Level. Our suite was very spacious and well-appointed. The girls had a separate bedroom with double beds and we so enjoyed having a separate living area to hang out in. One evening we decided to stay in, watch movies, and order room service. It is my understanding that the TGI Friday’s at the hotel takes care of their room service orders. They did a great job and we were all full and happy. We ate breakfast at Heritage Park and it was wonderful. The cooked-to-order omelet was fresh and delicious, as were the other bountiful selections. Visits to the fitness center were a must after indulging at breakfast. The girls loved the fitness center and indoor whirlpool. Both mornings we encountered housekeeping staff as we walked to breakfast and they were very cheerful and friendly. The Ambassador Hotel is outstanding, and the location is convenient to the airport. Next time I visit, I will not need to rent a car because they offer a free shuttle from the airport. With three years left of college, you can guess where I’m going to stay when I come back to Amarillo to visit my daughter-The Ambassador Hotel!

We went to the Ambassador Hotel in Amarillo for the wedding of my sister. What a great experience! I even got to help her with some of the planning, and the staff was great to work with. The wedding was flawless from beginning to end, and the food was excellent. The guestrooms for those of us who stayed were quite spacious and comfortable. Our other family and friends were really happy with their rooms and the kind service we received. While Amarillo had other interesting options, like wedding halls and such, going with a hotel is so much better. Everyone gets to stay there, we were all together, you can just roll up to your room after the wedding and never have to get in a car. We all got to hang out together, and it was really easy and convenient to have everything in one place. We highly recommend a wedding there, or even just an overnight stay. Thanks to everyone.

The internet service and tv and both horrible, the bathrooms are dirty and use drinking glasses which i'm sure are not cleaned properly. FYI don't use the drinking glasses or make coffee in your room unless you want the same towel that they tried to clean the floor with cleaning your drinking/coffee pot.

The room smelled like wet dog and urine, the service is horrible, breakfast is disgusting and the bathroom is small and very un-clean! The pool area was so nasty!! They front desk people screwed up my credit card payment and I was charged twice, still working that out with them.

I stayed at the Ambassador Hotel twice in July, and many times in the past with my work. I think the furnishings in the rooms had a re-vamp recently, but I have not experienced most of the complaints listed in earlier reviews at this hotel. The rooms are large and well lit if you have outside windows. Some rooms overlook the indoor 5 story atrium containing the lobby, hotel restraunt and pool so those can be a little dim without room lights on. The beds are comfortable with good linens, and the desk/chairs/TV/AC are all of average to above average hotel quality. The bathrooms are small but clean and well stocked. I actually have had one instance of a slow tub drain here but I have also had that experience at many other hotels. The staff is friendly and helpful and the Fridays Restraunt attached to hotel has good food and a nice bar area. The workout room by the pool has pretty good cardio equipment. I don't know about the business center because the WIFI is excellent everywhere in the hotel so I use my laptop. I think there is a router on every floor, so sometimes you have to search out the best connection. I travel almost every week and stay in hotels of all stripes. This place is good, I enjoy it.

I stay in Amarillo at The Ambassador Hotel frequently on business. It has been my favorite hotel in Amarillo for some time, because of the friendly staff, very comfortable rooms and great restaurants. I would not stay any place else. However, recently I had to plan a last minute small corporate meeting, something that I had not done before. I immediately thought of The Ambassador Hotel Amarillo and called the sales office. I was so impressed with their professionalism. They helped me from soup to nuts and made sure that the event came off without a hitch. I was so relieved and received high marks for a successful meeting. I am so loyal and indebted to the group at The Ambassador Hotel. I just had to write this review and recommend The Ambassador Hotel in Amarillo to anyone who is looking for an Amarillo meeting hotel.

Each year our family passes through Amarillo on our way to skiing in New Mexico. This year we chose the best Amarillo hotel to stay at. We were very happy with The Ambassador Hotel, and especially pleased that they offered a “ski package.” What a great idea! The package included a fun “goodie” bag at check-in with bottled water, snacks for our drive, and even Chapstick which was great for hanging on our ski jackets. Best of all, our teenagers loved that we were entered to win a Burton Custom snowboard. The staff was very friendly and placed us in a deluxe room that was spacious, comfortable, and even had a flat screen television that our kids thought was great! This family friendly Amarillo hotel has an indoor pool which is always a plus when traveling with your family. The breakfast buffet is delicious and offers lots of choices, with our favorite being the pancakes and omeletes that are cooked just the way you want them. We highly recommend the Ambassador Hotel in Amarillo, and our family cannot wait to stay here again on our way to New Mexico.

this is most likely the nicest hotel in amarillo, close to everything, with a indor pool in the loby, TGI fridays connected, nice clean rooms, well worth it, use hotels. com, for cheaper rates,

The lobby gives a great impression, but don't be fooled. The room smelled stuffy and the bathroom was dirty. Service was hottible. It took us over 20 minutes to check in, and that's not because they were busy. It's because the employees are less than competent. They double charged us for the room and have failed to issue a refund after a month of hounding.
