Horribly Rude!!!!
By gingerr, 8/2/11
On a hot August day, I got a flat tire near the hotel and pulled over to change it. A woman came out of the office and told me I had to leave because parking spots were for customers only. I asked that she allow me 10 to 15 minutes to change my tire and she said I had to leave. The woman went back into the office and sent out a man that claimed to be the owner. He said that I needed to leave because I was trespassing. He said he would call the tow company to tow me away. I responded that I would call the police because I felt he was harassing me when all I needed was 10 minutes to change my tire. The man would not give me his name and kept saying I was trespassing, so I pulled off "his" property and was forced to drive on to find another place to pull over. With so much anger and rudeness directed to a traveler in need, I can only guess at the "owner's" customer service skills. After this horrible experience I would never patronize this business My use of his parking space would not cost him anything, but my use of the review tools and application of a complaint to the Better Business Bureau may cost this man plenty.

WOW! What a horrible place to stay!
By Navon, 2/21/11
I can honestly say this was the worst hotel I have EVER stayed at. First off, the manager had HORRIBLE customer service. I booked a room with 5 people staying in it and requested a roll-away bed for the 5th person. When I called to verify my reservation, the manager said he did not give a roll-away bed b/c I did not request one. I told him I had and he began to get attitude and argue with me. It's sad when the manager of the hotel provides the worst customer service out of everyone I encountered there. When we get there the outside looked horrible. The inside of the room was even worse! The room was dirty. The shower had hair all in it. We turned on the water in the shower and the drain was clogged so water started backing up. The toilet leaked water on the floor. The parking there is ridiculous. If you don't get there early enough you have to park down this steep hill. This hotel was way overpriced. I've stayed at way cheaper hotels that were way nicer! This was the first and will be the last time I stay at a Rodeway Inn!!!!

don't ever go to this dump!
By Mary Anne, 7/24/08
isn't it that if the customer didn't mention if he was a smoker or not, the hotel should automatically put you in a non-smoker room? but in my husband's case, they place him in a smoker's room!!!!! its a hell of a night since it stink so much! that night he complained and he was transferred to another room, the room beside the first one!!!! what did he expect?----the same stinkyness! another thing, they do not automatically give soaps, shampoos, etc....inshort the service is so bad...... he checked out the following day, and the manager tried to put him back by telling that they will give him a better room.. why you didn't think of it in the 1st place?? never will we recommend this worthless hotel....not worth staying even if they charge $1 for a night.....

They gave our room away
By Chad Smalley, 2/8/08
This was absolutely the most unbelievable terrible hotel experience I've ever had. My friend and I had a room booked here for 2 nights. On the second night, upon returning to the hotel around 2:30am, we found our room key didn't work anymore. Shortly we find out that the front desk actually gave our room away to someone else while we were out... WITH OUR STUFF STILL IN IT. Clothes, suitcases, toothbrushes, prescription medications, laptop, everything. The person now in our room wouldn't answer the phone or open the door, so we were forced to accept another room for the night wondering if we'd ever get our stuff back. Fortunately we got everything back untouched, but you can bet we're never staying here again.

This place should be condemned! It looks like it has never been renovated since it was built. Peeling paint, mildew carpet, horrible furniture. This was nightmare experience. Please, do not stay in this dump!!!!!!

Fantastic location for UT visitors, great hospitality
By suze, 10/27/06
I was pleasantly surprised by the Rodeway Inn. It was clean and my room had a fridge, microwave, iron and board, and hairdryer. Most impressively, they provided juice and fruit all day long. It's location is a short, safe walk from UT, especially the law school and convention center area. They provided free wireless. I was very impressed for the price.
