Crowne Plaza San Antonio Airport, San Antonio

When I called to make the reservation I was held on the phone for over 20 minutes listening a high pressure sales pitch for some resort. I was told all this hotel was recently renovated... what a crock of bull. The only new thing in my room was the flat screen TV. 1. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but my room and the entire floor smelled like smoke. 2. The shower head was loose and hanging out of the wall. I was afraid to adjust it for fear it would come completely out of the socket. 3. Pink soap residue was in the soap holder of the bathtub, leading me to believe the bathtub was not cleaned properly before I arrived. 4. The racks in the refrigerator were rusty and broken. The top rack could not be used at all. 5. Dust bunnies were on the ceiling. 6. Housekeeping did not clean my room. 7. There were stains on the furniture. 8. The TV remote was sticky. 9. Late night parking at the hotel is not available on the hotel premises. The parking is very limited. We had to park next door in Luby's parking lot. 10. My Sunday morning shower was luke warm at best. I will never stay at this hotel again. It was old, smelly, and dirty!! Yucky!!

Crowne Plaza by Airport in San Antonio. Very nice. Travelocity gave good price. Very clean inside and our. Had a kitchenette, microwave, stove, dishes, utensils. Professional staff and attitudes. I temporarily lost a key and staff came up immediately and opened the door AFTER asking for my I.D. I would stay here again. Oh, clean pool, hot tub, restaurant on site. No free breakfast, but hey, I had a kitchenette and didn't need one! Maid service was impecable. It IS near an airport, but it WAS NOT interruptive, I never heard them at night. In the daytime, it was enjoyable to watch jets coming in, as the curtains parted for a very large view. I hope to return in another year or so, as there are lots of things to do in San Antonio. I would recommend going to the little nearby towns too, if you have the time. Boerne, Tx and Gruene, Tx are both really nice, and fairly nearby. Japanese Sunken Gardens are right in San Antonio, and it is free. You shouldn't miss Riverwalk or Alamo if this is your first time.

Arrived late into San Antonio. Made it to the Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel about 12:30 at night.Had reservations for over a month. We were told they had overbooked and said they were full. The front desk said there was a room for us at another hotel 25 mins away. Not alot fun driving around San Antonio in the middle of the night after traveling all day. Our room was paid for in advance it should have been held for us. That's not the way to do business

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The room was dirty, food was horrible. More importantly, the hotel staff were the worst, they were rude and lazy. Don't try to ask them to call you a taxi. I needed a taxi and had to wait for an hour long. I was told that everyone was busy and I had to wait. Later that night, when I tried to share my experience with another taxi driver, I was told that this hotel staff likes to call their "buddy" taxi driver and get paid for the "business". What an horrible experience I had with them!

The location is good. We got a deal on the internet for $98.00 per night. When we got to the hotel, we found out that parking would be $23.00 extra per night for regular parking or $28.00 per night for valet parking. The room was clean but small. When we got ready to check out, We had charges for two pay-for-view movies at the rate of $14.05 each. When I told them that we watched no movies, they produced a piece of paper with the times that these movies were purchased. I informed them that we were not even in the hotel at this time, and they could check with their valet parking to verify this. They removed it from my bill, but acted like I was lying. I guess they were trying to make up for the internet rate. I feel that a 3 1/2 star rating is quite a stretch. While I will not say that I won't be back, I will do some serious looking for another hotel if I do come back.

stayed in an executive suite 9/21-9/23/2007. We called to get directions and instead of finding someone to help us out, the lady just kept saying "um" and told us politely that she didnt know how to get us to the hotel. We stayed in an executive suite and our first impression of the room was that it was smaller than other suites we've paid more money for. The linens were nice and white and they had a sleep advantage program that included a blindfold and earplugs. The bed was nice and firm. The couch was comfortable as well. I just get tired of seeing that "hotel look" when it comes to linens and furnishings. We also had complimentary drinks 24/7 and dinner snacks from 5-7 pm. No problems with noise up on the 10th floor. The bathroom was clean. Parking was free.The people were courteous when we did see them. The wireless internet was the only downside. It kept going out every five minutes or so. The fact that it was wireless was a plus. No screaming kids in the halls or anything. I would come back again, but I feel I need to try other hotels before I find one that is a home away from home.

...from the name Crowne Plaza. I had always thought that they were supposed to be really nice. Honestly. It's location to the airport was the best thing about it. Otherwise it was like any other hotel. I would rather stay in a Hampton! At least you stay clean and eat free! Not here. I ate 2x in their restaurant and practically had to beg people to weight on me. I got the same dish both times and I have to say it was different each time. So much for consistency!--The most exciting thing that happened was there was an awful fire (no one was hurt) on the freeway just in front of the hotel. There is a little pub next door it just opened. It was nice, a bit loud but nice.

When I walked in to the lobby, I noticed that nice decor. When I checked in the staff were courteous and helpful. The room was great and it didn't smell stale like most smoking rooms. The only thing I didn't like was all the construction going on in near the hotel, making it difficult to go East without having to drive out of the way to make the turnaround! Other than that, the hotel was worth the stay!

The hotel was great, but the housekeeping service was not that great. Seems as though they rushed through to clean and did not leave any additional toiletries, good thing we always take extras.

The night manager was amazing. They were accidentally over booked and had to move us to another hotel for the first night. The room was free for that night and that hotel was the same class so the quality was just aas good as the Radisson. The next day when we checked back into the Radisoon the same manager made sure my accomendations were perfect and that my daughter and I were satisfied with our stay. We also received free breakfast vouchers for their buffet. The only thing I can find to complain about is I expected a better breakfast buffet for that type of hotel (the food was cold and not many options) but overall everything was great and I would defintely stay again!
