Be forewarned and listen the other reviews. This is an old hotel that is falling apart. The room smelled of pesticide, the ceiling was cracking and speckling on the floor, and the neighborhood is sub-par. The only thing I liked was the lady at the front desk who was very helpful and understanding. I stayed for approximately 30 minutes and made other arrangements.

I will NEVER stay at a Howard Johnson hotel again. (First off... while looking for a safer and better hotel i was told by a police officer that this is a crack hotel.) We had called this hotel before making our reservations to ask them what the pet fee was and what pet rules they had. I was told there were no pet rules and no pet fee. I was actually told no pet fee twice on two seperate occasions. When we got to the hotel the place didnt even look like a howard johnson...the sign was for a different hotel and they just had a banner up to let you know it was now a HJ. The place was realy run down looking and really creepy. When we went to check in they tried charging us $50 fee for our dog. I informed them we had called and were told there was no pet fee and the clerks response was "oh well we have a lot of new employees so they must have told you wrong..." I feel as though they should follow through with what their employees say! We called the Howard Johnson company directly to try and resolve this issue and had no luck. They kept claiming that we were unhappy because of the pet fee and we kept telling them it was because we were lied to! The picture online was not even the same hotel!

stayed here last week in town covering the pride weekend and the rot rally for my radio station. checked in w/my family and paid a weekly rate not bad.went to pay my second week they told my they rented my room for the weekend and said i couldnt stay there over the weekend even after they knew i was there with a syndicated radio show. i politely told them they cant rent my room im already renting. the mgr said too bad. i asked her for the corparate number she told me i couldnt have it. if i wanted take them to court and then i could get it that way. i politely told them that was bullcrap and told them they have to provide me with the number. i did not at anytime treat them rudely i am in a professional buisness. her response was im not giving you the number and called the police on me and tried to have me thrown out with my family. the cops laughed in there face and said hes paid up till noon and that they had to give me the coorprate number..i then packed and left(at NOON) DFO NOT STAY HERE THE RUDEST DESK CLERK AND MGR I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH..i stay in hotels all over the country and have never been treated that way in my life and to have the police called because i wanted too call the coorprate office...also the tub wouldnt drain for 3 to 4 hours after shower athe refridge froze up solid...the maids were rude couldnt understand english so i got no room service from them and had to go find my own towles and brooms to clean my room...hojo still has there name on it and its giving them a bad name.....Captain Idiotboy

I went in at 7:00 in the morning. There was this guy with a beard who completely ignored me for about 5 minutes when I approached the Frontdesk. I was waiting... and waiting, finally I left without making any reservation.

I stayed at this hotel because it's about 5 miles from my conference meeting. That's all about it. Some of my fellow attendees complained that this hotel is too noisy because right next to a highway. My complain is that one hotel front desk showed impolite gesture when I asked him to call a cab when I was in the lobby (yeah like I bring yellow pages everywhere I go). Talk about low hospitality.... I don't know what the hotel industry has become in the US. It used to be an hospitality sector and hotel staffs show respect and friendliness toward guests. But I'm not sure thats the case with this hotel.

Do not stay here. My family and I were here this past weeked and got quite a shock. This hotel description makes the location sound ideal, but the elevated highway is practically on top of the hotel in a bad neighborhood. We were afraid to leave our car out at that night. Our local realtor also agreed with us that this was a terrible neighborhood. There was trash all over the place outside the rooms and in the parking lot. The room was remodeled, yes- but my brother got up in the middle of the night and found large cockroached scurrying around the bathroom floor when he turned the light on. Also- do not arrive a minute late for breakfast (ends at 9am) or they will rudely tell you not to come in (although there was a lot of food and people were still serving themselves). Stay Away!

i loved the four points because of their friendly service and high class ammenides.

This hotel was an old Howard Johnson's a few years ago, and has not had any significant facelifts or upgrades in several years. It doesn't meet up to Starwood's reputation, even for the Four Points brand.

I want to commend the staff, that obviously is doing a superior job in providing friendly and helpful service, good food, and a clean hotel in a tough environment. The hotel is old, and needs to have money put into it, but that doesn't stop the good people there from making you feel welcome. My commendations to the great leadership that manages to make guests feel welcome and well served in a difficult setting. I travel about 40% of the year, and have not seen many better staffs.
