Motel Hell
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/09
When I checked in,I found the room to be no better than a one star motel. Iwas in amarillo to see father in hospital and hurried to see father. When I got back to room, I used bathroom and toilet overflowed. I called front desk ,who sent matenice man , who just shut water off to toilet, and left. I spent the rest of the night with no toilet. The next morning I asked for new room because they could not fix problem in a timely manner. I asked for room close by because of all my luggage. They sent me across to other side of motel and two floors up, with no assistence with my luggage..Making me late for fathers surgery! I finally checked out paying for my two nights with credit card. When I recieved bill I was charged for one extra night. After dealing with many people long distance at their motel. I was assured I would be credited back for overcharge. Come to find out I was charged for one more night and am still tring to resolve problem with no cooperation from motel management or accountinc. I would not recomend staying at this motel until staff and management can do their job like the rest of working america!!!!!!!!

Old and Dirty
By JULIA, 07/02/09
Only greal good thing was location. Hotel was old and dirty (if you see the pictures on line, think worse). Small bathroom. Patched holes in the shower and bathroom tile. Old carpeting. Took us two days to find the alarm clock stuffed under the bed. We just thought there wasn't one. Cleaning crew didn't think enough to find it and put it where it was suppose to be. Staff didn't even know I was a priority club premier member nor did they care. No fridges available. No amenities like breakfast to justify the price. Pool is small but works. Elevators broke down and one of the outdoor doors wouldn't work..of course the day it downpoured. Recommend going further west to the Hotels closer to the mall wherer there are more amenities. Drury Inn, Country Inn and suites, etc. If you are going to pay the price, at least get breakfast. One more good thing though, TV had at least more channels than your standard that you sometimes see.

Would not stay again
By kelly h, 10/03/08
Did not receive the room as reserved according to staff because of stay overs. Night staff not friendly or helpful. Rooms basically clean but out of date.

Good Value as long as you don't buy a coke.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/18/08
I booked my room via hotwire, and considering the $50 I spent to stay here, I can't really complain. Good value. The location is really irrelavent to me as we were traveling on I-40 and just needed a place to stay. This place reminds me of what a really cool hotel was when I was 8 years old. Unfortunately, in some respects, the hotel probably ahsn't changed much since then! It has a feeling of vacancy and a former family "has been." The rooms have been very recently renovated. Our room was clean: The bedding seemed brand new along with the carpet. Room amenities were average, but clean. Outside of the room, however, the hotel wrenches you into the past with a dim, depresing atmosphere. The large atrium where the pool and arcade games are situated is nifty -- played a game of Ms. Pacman. I was quite irritated when I purchased some drinks, however. I bought a soft drink from the bar and paid over $2 for a can. Thinking I would do better at the vending machine, I later paid the required $2 there for a 16oz bottle. It looks like they trying to make this a nice hotel again. We'll see. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

Pretty good. Recommneded
By Sapna Khanna, 12/07/06
A pretty decent place. The games arcade is a real hit with the kids & an unusual bonus. Indoor pool was also good. We got a room facing the indoor pool & arcade & had no complaints with the room or service at all. Infact will stay there again if we're in Amarillo again. Recommended.

I'll sleep at a roadside park next time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/03/05
Have stayed at this place twice in the past ten years. Both times it was the worst experience of my life. Site was in disrepair, carpets stained, in room & out. I have stayed in third world countries with better accomodations than this site.

Would not recommend. Ever.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/15/05
Needless to say, one of the most miserable places on earth. Rude and incompotant staff was trumped only by the low quality, filthy rooms and outdated decor. From the moment we arrived to a room on the first floor the horror began. The door was wide open, the key did not work, the front desk agent refused to move us, and literally barked at my guest and I. Sleep was elusive as I tried to avoid the crusted spots on the bedding and the light peering in from the highly overated "Holidome". Spent 6 hours and left tired, angry, and unrefreshed.
