Super 8 Chattanooga Lookout Mountain, Chattanooga

I liked the location and the price. Loved the refrigerator and micro in the room and the wifi worked great. The breakfast was just OK. My biggest problems were that a) it smelled kind of bad, b) my room key card stopped working and still didn't work when I went for a replacement - had to keep someone in the room at all times to let me in/out, c) no elevator that I could see so a lot of lugging up and down stairs.

We stayed here for two nights and it was horrible. We asked for a non-smoking room and were given one that was between two smoking rooms so the whole place reeked!! As soon as you walked from the lobby to the hallway the smell just smacked you in the face. Also, the people above us had some very bratty kids that were running around and screaming for hours. At about midnight I had enough so I called the front desk and they said they would take care of it but they did nothing. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. It is old and smelly and although it is right off the Interstate it is pretty far from the aquarium and downtown. Overall our experience was HORRIBLE

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was not worth the money. Because we are smokers we got a room in the basement where the wall in the bathroom was cracked and it was very damp and musty. There wasn't any hot water so we had to take a cold shower. It may look nice on the outside but don't let that fool you. I will travel another 100 miles before I would stay here again.

This is one of several hotels in the area and although old, was clean and very quiet. It was the only one with interior corridors. While this may not seem like a big deal, it really cuts down on the road noise being so close to the interstate. The motel is old and does need a few updates, but I cannot stress enough that it is CLEAN!!! I was traveling with my 3 small kids and my only complaints were the small breakfast area and the lack of elevator. All of the non-smoking rooms were on the 2nd floor and while we did have to climb the stairs (carrying luggage) to get to our room, it didn't smell like smoke AT ALL! The bathroom fixtures are old, but again, everything is CLEAN! The hotel staff was VERY kind and helpful. This motel was a bargain price compared to the competitors in the area, and we got more than we could have hoped for. The motel is within walking distance of a few small restaurants and close to downtown attractions. It was family friendly (except for the elevator issue) and very convenient! I will DEFINITELY stay here again!!!
