Disappointed with our stay.
By ,
We were pretty disappointed with our stay here. It started with the front desk worker. He started telling us way too much information about his personal life. The room was not too bad. Except the sink was chipping and we didn't have many of the normal amenities of a normal cheap hotel. The wireless they had disconnected every 5-10 min. The hotel was not too far to walk to the main strip of Gatlinburg. They did not have their pool up yet, but the surrounding hotels did. I would not recommend staying here and will not return to this hotel.

Location!
By ,
Our overall experience was nothing but pleasant from the time of check-in to the time of departure. The front desk personnel, Chrissey and Wendy, were very professional and strived to meet every need. The hotel is in the process of replacing the matresses and the unit in which we stayed had a new one. It was so comfortable, we inquired about the brand when we left. Also, the carpet is being replaced. Once we check in, it was only moments until someone was at the door making sure the unit was in tip-top shape (and it was). The hotel is located about three tenths of a mile off the main street of Gatlinburg, which made it within walking distance to the main area of town. On Tuesday, we did the eight and a half mile loop of the Arts Community. There was someone at the front area to explain how to get there, and give us a list of the crafters that would be open as this is the off season. This is an excellent facility, extremely friendly and helpful staff, and we definitely would return when in the area.

Don't waste your money!
By ,
I cannot believe people enjoyed staying here. Breakfast is canned gravy in a crock pot and the jacuzzi tub in the room did not work. Man in front office was very rude and our card was overcharged $20 which the man would not fix. The theme room was nice, but I would never stay here again.

Wonderful Place! We'll Be Back
By ,
We loved everything about this Hotel. The staff were the nicest and kindest we have ever met. The rooms were so clean and the fireplace wasgreat. My sisters and I take a mini vacation at least twice a year and this was the nicest place we have ever stayed. Wish we could have afforded to stay a week and at the prices of this Hotel we will in the near future. I give the Hotel and staff 10 stars...God Bless...Kathy

Best Hotel In Gatlinburg
By ,
I have been visiting the Homestead House now since it first opened back in the early 1980's. I have stayed at other Hotels in Gatlinburg, but I prefer to stay at the Homestead House. It is in a very picturesque setting. It is beautifully decorated. It is reasonably priced, and very clean. It fits in with the mountain theme, but is elegant also. I love the fireplace in the winter, the pool in the summer, and also the in-room jacuzzi. The balconies are perfect to view not only the beautiful mountains, but the grounds are gorgeous, with a creek that you can see from your room. I would recommend this hotel to the President of the US. Congratulations Homestead House for a job WELL DONE!!!!!

COLD SHOWER
By ,
My family spent 2 nights and will never stay at Homestead House again. Both mornings I had to take a cold shower. No hot water. Their excuse was they had to many people staying at the hotel. Everytime someone went to the bathroom you could hear it. You could hear all conversations in the room next to you. The "hot breakfast" consisted of hard biscuits and hot gravy.
