Will never stay at Hampton again
My wife had stayed at a Hampton Inn in Oklahoma City and just bragged about the quality of her stay. So, I booked us a room at the Hampton Inn in Memphis close to Beale Street. It was absolutely horrible!! The bed was the hardest bed I've ever slept on. I woke up with a terrible pain between my shoulder blades. I would have been better off sleeping on the floor. The heating/cooling in the room was joke. There wasn't a thermostat, it was more or less "on" or "off." The fan ran all night, and I woke up congested. The breakfast was the worste breakfast I have ever had - period!! The gravy was terrible, not sure how they cooked the eggs. The instant cereal wasn't even good because the hot water wasn't really hot enough. To top it all off, when I got my receipt the next morning I found out that they charged me to park in their parking garage!! No one ever told me up front that I would be charged to park in their garage. Where else was I suppose to park?? Point is, I have stayed in hotels and paid half of what I did for the Hampton and had better rooms, better beds, better breakfast and DID NOT have to pay for parking. This one Hampton has ruined it for all the rest. I will NEVER stay at another Hampton.
