This is not a place to stay in Spartanburg

We booked this hotel thru hotels.com after checking the rates and pictures of the rooms...We arrived at the airport at 11pm and drove straight to the hotel...Upon arrival, we were hesistant when we walked into the lobby and the carpet was stained and smelly...However, we decided that it must be an oversight and the cleaning crew had probably not started cleaning...the desk clerk gave us a room number and door keys..We got our bags and went to the room...Upon entering the room, we were shocked to find that the carpet was smelly and stained here also, the bathroom door had been kicked in, there was poop in the toilet, the bathroom towels were yellowish, someone or something had thrown up on a wall by the door, and the bedsheets were stained...we promptly went back to desk clerk and got another room...this room was exactly the same, except the drapes were torn and none of the lamps/lights worked...back to desk clerk who now had the manager in to help us, got another room...this room was a tiny bit better, however, we still had to clean the bathroom before we could use it and the sheets had cigarette burns in them...This place is deplorable..we did finally move to the Radisson the next morning for an additional $70, after speaking w/hotels.com customer service ..this place is not what you would want your family or your pet to stay in...there are plenty of other hotels which are clean and comfortable in the area...
