Ocean Forest Plaza, Myrtle Beach

I went to Mytle Beach to look at a time share. And they booked me the room. The Parking deck is awful. You had to pull up and the back up a few time to go thought the ramps.Who built this place? Park on the outside of the parking deck for large trucks or cars.They wrote a warning ticket. I drive a Camry.Was there 3 night. Wouldn't give me more towels, toilet paper because I didn't book through them. Didn't clean room at all. Room had a bad smell. I don't know if it was the carpet or the mop in the room.I have been to Mytle Beach 50 times. I would never stay here again

Not a good experience. This place had a funny smell. Was not what was advertised.

And you can purchase some pretty fair marijuana at a reasonable price from a couple of the members of the OFP-staff. We were long-term renters. Except for the pot...I have no idea what amenities & location these supposedly impartial(?) reviewers are talking about! For the other side of the story...visit 'TripAdvisor.'

I love this hotel. We just returned from our firsst stay there and we will definetly be back!! It is clean and comfortable and very affordable. The worst part is the parking garage, but that is my only complaint. I am very glad that i disreguarded the negative comments of this hotel from others. We had the 22nd and 23rd floor penthouse and it was AWESOME!!! Beautiful views and all the best ammenities. I highly reccomend this hotel to anyone. We have a 2 year old son and he loved the pools and riding the elevator all the way to the top. And they were never slow!! So, take my advice and give this place a try. It is close to everything and the beach is quiet for families not like the beach in the heart of town. We spent 7 nights and hated to leave.

Everything was great! Planning on going back very soon! The oceanfront rooms are great! The staff was very helpful with directions and things to do around the area!

Our first trip was in 2003, this was also the first trip for me to the beach!!We really enjoyed our trip! How convenient to be right on the beach with a Restaurant and a Bar/Grill inside the hotel and a pool side bar by the outdoor pool. We would sit every morning and eat breakfast and look out over the beach! We have stayed in the same 2 bedroom each year we have visited, and we loved all the amenities on site.When we went to book for 06', we were told "No Availability," I almost cried! But in 06', we stayed right below Ocean Forest and a place called Forest Dunes, which is equal to this hotel in amenities and rooms, so we enjoyed it as well, but got used to staying here at Ocean Forest....so for this year 07', I have already booked my reservations and will be returning to Ocean Forest Plaza for another great vacation. I know it a little far out of town, but who wants to stay near the Pavillion with all the people and traffic, not me, I want to enjoy my time on the beach. It is more private on the beach than closer to town, which it what I like. Makes the evening walks more relaxing!! So, I have read many of these rating and I would say I would have to disagree with the people that didn't rate Ocean Forest Plaza a 4 or above!! It is a great place, great people, great amenities, great rooms, and is clean! Can't wait for May 07' to come around!!

We have stayed at Ocean Forest for years. The location is ideal. Traffic is not a big problem here. If you want to be away from the crowds and enjoy some peace and quiet this would be a good choice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pools are very nice. One problem here is the parking deck. It is pretty tight even for a compact car . Another thing I would like to mention is that they have become slack when it comes to cleaning your room. We stayed 3 nights and our room was only cleaned one time. We were offered towels but the beds were not made and the room was not cleaned. Also there were no blankets just a sheet and a bed spread. I did not like that either.

My fiance' and I chose to stay here, for our anniversary. I would like to say the overall experience was great. We only left the room once lol, that alone she give you an idea of how comfortable and relaxing it was. The rooms were great, you didnt need to bring anything but clothes , food ,and yourself. I must it was the best hotel i ever visit,and we're planning to come back many more times to come. Thank you Ocean Plaza for a wonderful experience...

i really enjoyed this hotel because the people were so nice and respectful and it was so peace and quiet and i did not feel like going back home. i wanted to stay even longer.

A group pf friends and I stayed at this hotel for memorial weekend and it was a pleasant experience. Although it was far from the strip it was a great place to relax with friends. The bedroom was large and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was gorgeous. The living and dining area was separate from the bedroom which included a fully equipped kitchen. My friends and I thiught we were at an island in jamaica. The staff was friendly and courteous. We will definitely stay there again. It's also a great place for couples and families. The hotel offers so many great amenities pool, hot tub, game room. Just an awesome place!!!
