Johnson And Wales Inn, Seekonk

the room was spacious and clean. but my biggest peeve was that I could only connect to the internet via a 5 foot cable. In this day and age this is unacceptable for travelling. If guests must use a cable then it should at least be long enough so that they are not tied to a desk and sitting in an uncomfortable chair.

The staff was mediocre at best. We had numerous complaints during our stay and for 4 days we were told there was no manager available. This is not a good policy with guests checking in and out. We were told we had booked a queen size bed but received 2 full size beds. We were kept awake by extremely loud music until after 1 am, even after more than 4 trips to the desk and phone calls, this was totally unacceptable, we had a leak in the bathroom which couldn't be repaired completely until Monday, our stay was Thurs through Sun. The continental breakfast was lousy, although it was free. There was only one ice machine for 4 floors of guests, there was only one elevator which only held 5 guests per trip, not including any luggage. The staff was ill trained to the point of being rude, and I don't mean the "students". There was one efficient banquet manager on duty, she was the only competent employee we came in contact with. I would not recommend this hotel.

Have always had a wonderful night's sleep when I stayed @JWU Inn! The students have always been pleasant and the food is pretty good as well. Like the continental breakfast but could you add some fresh fruit and maybe some yogurt/granola? The showers are incredibly small in some of the rooms but otherwise, the rooms are nice especially in the newest renovated area.

Nice staff they always go the exra yard when I visit. Love the bar nice stock and always clean. I would go again just for the bar. The rates are also good, low price and good quality.

Once you get past the mold smell the rest of this "Inn" looks like a bad Motel. The food however was really good, and we tried to be kind because this is a training "hotel" for Johnson & Wales, The kids did a great job of dealing with our problem. The hotel rented a bank of rooms to a sorority party, and security could not control them Anyway at 1AM they had to move us to a different part of the hotel. The students who run this hotel did a good job of trying to make us happy but the place is due for a serious makeover.

We were impressed with our stay at the Johnson and Wales Inn. Yes, it is an older hotel, but I rank things on cleanliness, comfort, service. Our room was very clean and kept that way each day by the maid service. Our mattress was excellent -- that is an unusal quality in any hotel. Because this hotel is training students from Johnson & Wales University, we found they worked very hard to give us good service. The food is delicious and we the prices, quality of food, and amount of food was outstanding. It might not be a hotel for families with children or young people because it has no pool, game room or fitness center. They are connected with a large Health Fitness Center about 1 miles away that you can use as much as you want. We would definitely go there again.

The service was wonderful! Great food in the restaurant and very helpful staff. We went with our 2 children (2 yrs. and 8 yrs old.) They helped set up a crib and gave us a special 2 week room price break. (Loved the coffee and newspaper in the morning!)
