Breezeway Resort, Westerly

Liked leaving this SH-t hole!! Huge ripoff, room had not been upgraded since 1970, Lights broken, Frig did not cool for anything, Drawers were discount furniture quality at best and kept pulling out!, Room size was great if you are a midget, A/C unit sounded like a jet on takeoff!! Bathroom was filthy and heres the biggest joke!! To fix the wallpaper they stapled it!! Pool had mold on sides, Breakfast was a BIG DEAL with some bagels and cereal and fruit! WOW!! Owner so cheap would not turn on A/C during breakfast hours! I think she has fish hooks in her pockets to keep from spending money! If you have a guest get ready to dole out more cash! Nothing free at this "Crack House" Tentament! Everything here has a cost. They treat help like slaves and make cleaning girls hover near your room at 0830 in the morning!! Very ANNOYING!! Warning, if you want to keep your hard earned cash stay away from this ghetto at ALL COSTS!! If you want to get get robbed at least get it done by classier people. At least they use a gun. If you want quality, check out La Quinta in Stonington CT about 10 minutes from the beach and save over 2/3 the amount the Sleezeway would charge you with 100 times better quality. They must have taken photos of another place because they do not look like the Web page photos at all! ONCE AGAIN!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND PRECIOUS CASH AT THE SLEEZEWAY!! YOU'LL BE SORRY!!

Stayed here for 3 nights.. The rooms are just adequate at best, The pool water is way to warm! Not refreshinbg at all. They must think they are in Newport charging $15.00 a night for a 2nd vehicle. This was my 4th year staying here but I think next year I'll try somewhere else.

What a Great Deal!!! We saved so much money staying at the Breezeway Resort. They have a private beach that includes parking (at least $20 saved for that) Free Breakfast in the morning (at least another $20). Rooms super clean & very family oriented. Loved it & so did my family.

Rate quoted as $103 a nite for 2 beds. We both heard the same price, I even repeated the figure & was told yes, $103. Upon check-out we were charged $183. Reason? Language problem, we misunderstood but it was a set up - after we checked in she gave us a song & dance about how she doesn't speak English well. Well enough to rip us off. Don't stay here!

We stayed in an upstairs room in one of the garden units. The room was just right with two kids (5 and 1) as it wasn't too smart so we could relax with them charging about. If I was staying as a couple I would have been dissapointed as it was clearly in need of modernisation and wasn't a "love nest" by any stretch of the imagination. No net curtains made it a bit awkward with the room next door who had to walk past our window, not a big issue just surprised they haven't put them in. Staff were all really nice. Breakfast was muffins and bagels etc. Pool was great kids loved it all. Beach was walking distance and there was plenty to explore by car in the area. We found malls, Submarine bases and Dinosaur parks and we only had 5 days. All in all I would give them a good 8 out of 10 and would definitely stay again. We had a lot of trouble finding a place that looked fun and relaxed with a pool for a family and this place was hard to fault.

Wonderful for families. The breakfast is fab. Very clean and people very nice. Nice shuffle board and great pool. rooms very clean

Stayed there this past week. One night was enough. I had read the reviews and was expecting much nicer accomodations. Small....small...room. Not worth the money.

We loved the family atmospher and the freedom the children have at this resort. We take our Grandchildren every year and we have no desire to go any place else. We can always count on a clean room daily.

WE STAYED AT MARIA'S ANNEX, STAYED IN THE JUNIOR WHIRLPOOL ROOM. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS, FOR THE PEOPLE STAYING IN THE NEXT ROOM, THEY HAVE TO WALK PAST THE ROOM WE WERE STAYING IN. I WOULD SUGGEST PUTTING BLINDS ON THE SLIDING DOOR AND SOME TYPE OF SHEER CURTAIN SO YOU COULD ADJUST THE BLINDS AND BE ABLE TO GET SOME LIGHT AND AIR IN THE ROOM AND ALSO A SCREEN FOR THE SLIDING DOOR TO THE DECK.

My husband and I have been going there for 29 years! We found this when we were on our honeymoon. In the beginning it was a small little not-so-kown hotel. Of course it has changed since then but the service, hotel accomodations and the location still can't be beat. We have loved it every single time we've gone. Many a great memory from here...
