Quality Inn at Gen. Lee's Hdqtrs, Gettysburg

Stayed here with the family! The second night 3 of us woke up at the same time by what sounded like cannon fire. It began exactly at 12:37am and ended at 2 am. We really never believed in any of this until it actually happened to us at the exact time. Our next door neighbor heard it as well. Regardless, breakfast was great, room was clean but had a crazy insect problem in the bathroom, all staff members were great! Room was large and comfortable!

My husband and I had multiple bedbug bites after a 2 nights stay at this hotel. A Gettysburg doctor confirmed they were bedbug bites.

The location was superb-right across from seminary ridge-very exciting to walk in night time-you feel like you were eavesdropping on history as you wandered among the monuments-what were the soldiers thinking about prior to and during the three days of fighting-the little museum on site was very interesting and the staff-particularly the lady at night was extremely helpful and explained some sites most people would not see riding about. We did a lot of walking during our time there.

Quite frankly, I didn't expect much because I have found the Quality chain to be quite varied in quality, from good to barely habitable. This place however is superb! Very clean (and my wife is a stickler for cleanliness), great location, great updated decor (something I was really surprised at), everything in working order, friendly staff. Have had much worse stays for twice the money. I highly recommend.

Our family has been staying here for years. The rooms are lovely, although we prefer their suites. The staff is great and the entire property is very well maintained. It's location on the edge of the battlefield is everything. Just a wonderful place. We already have reservations for Dec. and Jan.

On July 7, 2010, my husband and I heard weird tap-like sounds, suddenly heard door quickly unlocking and as I ran to shut door - thinking someone given duplicate key to room - the upper lock gave way and the door blew open with freezing air coming past me. We had just come from a walk near LeFever St (out in woods) where soldiers were slaughtered 147 yrs ago (now a school on grounds) within sight of Cemetary Ridge (not to be confused with Seminary Ridge, where hotel located). Feel that ghost may have followed us back around 11:50pm, then left by way of door?? It was 80+ degrees out at night and NO breeze, not the slightest....freaked us out!! Also, supposedly a grave stone is propped up outside against one of the exterior walls of a room at the hotel....don't know which one, maybe its room 129?! This latter info. I found on another sight.

The staff was ultra friendly and were very informative. They had great suggestions on where and what to do, and who to use for services. My wife kept on waiting for Doris Day and Rock Hudson to pop out of these quaint rooms they had (a good throw back to the golden days.) If you're lucky, you'll get a ghost about the hotel itself! You are sleeping on the battlefield.

the front desk was rude when we asked for a cable to watch the famous "gettysburg" movie. she said it was because idiots who dont know how to work a tv cant get it back to regular tv channels. but anyways great value and great location. good view of Lutheran theological seminary. pool closed by 8:00 PM though. it was open when i got back from touring but as soon as i changed it was closed. also right at the same time i asked for the cable. same lady? maybe.....

My husband and I have been staying here for at least 15 years. We love it! The staff is the best. The rooms are beautiful, always clean. The property is well maintained. They have several suites. The Lower Dustman is our favorite.When we check in we feel as though we are 'home'. We would not even consider staying elsewhere when in Gettysburg!

I read a review from someone that wrote it a few years back, and it was all negative about this place. Please do not take that review into consideration because it just isnt true. The people here are very nice, the location is amazing, and the suites are not too expensive and well worth it. There is a great brewery RIGHT next to this place, with good food and nice people. Everytime I go to Gettysburg I stay here. The maid we had was there every morning giving us anything we wanted and was such a nice person.
