Worst Hotel Experience Ever!
By Shannon, 7/27/07
I recently had the misfortune of staying at this hotel because the convention center was holding a two-day exam that I had to attend. I was completely dissatisfied with everything from the staff to the rooms. Upon checking in, I noticed that the bed was dirty and stained; there was a THICK layer of dust on every surface; the floor hadn't been vacuumed; and even the towels in the bathroom had dust balls on them! I asked for new bedding which I never received. I asked for wake-up calls on both days - which I never received. The alarm clock in the room didn't work. All requests and complaints fell on deaf ears - the desk staff was not only uncourteous but disrespectful and rude. If you ever plan on staying in this area - do not stay here - there are many other places to stay that will only cost half the price. However, if you like paying a lot, sleeping and bathing in filth, interacting with rude people, and bringing your own alarm clock...then by all means - this is the place for you!!!

Not much change
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/9/07
Desk people very good but after that mostly down hill. Room dirty, heater filthy, sink drains stoped up, food average at best. I have stayed here in the past and nothing seems to change.

Radisson is on my black list
By James Bradshaw, Jr, 1/31/07
OK, so i am a Priceline guy. About 80% of the time I have a good experience using priceline, but Radisson properties surface from time to time and they all seem to be lacking in a big way...this property is no exception, in fact it takes the cake for being the biggest Radisson dump I have ever stayed in. I did give decent marks for location being in Camp Hill area, and I will give credit to the friendly staff in the restaurant for breakfast but apart from that this is an AVOID AT ALL COST property. I read something about a remodel but I didn;t see any signs at all of a remodel. The bathroom is so tiney there is not even any room to balance your dop kit on the bathroom counter. If you went to public high school, the old toilet will remind you of that wonderful experience in high school when you had to visit the stall for a BM (trust me, it's so bad it will remind some of you of that visit to the nurses office saying you had stomache probems, i.e...you wanted to utilize the clean nurses office crapper!) I never use the little coffee machines in hotel rooms, but even if you do you will think twice about using them at this hotel...i couldn't help but notice the dirt, dust and HAIR on the coffee unit while using my laptop at the desk. Bed was a real back breaker, no support at all. I felt slighted when looking at the ad for the dream king bed or whatever the Radisson calls it in the lobby. I was very nice when asking to check out 30 minutes late (11:30) yes, that's right 30 minutes late...and the receptionist got very snooty. I said "you know what, it's not that big of a deal, just get me out of here". Oh, I almost forgot, as if the houskeeping staff had trouble knowing which rooms the 70 guest occupying the hotel had, she tried to come in without knocking at about 8am (OK I was sleeping in, fire me.)Luckily I had the door chained. This is a joke. I am done with Radissons, and if I could help it would avoid them all together even on Priceline but I'm sure I will hit a few more...just want this review to help those who might knowingly pay good money for this sorry hotel.

YUK YUK YUK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/14/06
When we booked this hotel, we were told the hotel was full, however when we arrived there were approximately 5 cars in the lot and it looked like a ghost town. There were 3 in our party, and 5 in our friends. When our friends and I checked in, there was a strong gas smell in their room. There was a maintenance worker in the hall who immediately called a supervisor and was told that that particular room vented the gas pipes from the dryers. When my family and went it to check our room there as a distinct arom of Raid. When we opened the curtains to find a thick layer of dead bugs. The window was just below the exterior light which was an apparent draw for the bugs. The arm chair had a huge stain on it, the wall paper was filthy, and there was a thick layer of dust on the furniture as well hair on top of the furniture (YUK). We all called the front desk and asked for our rooms to be changed due to dead bugs, bug spray smell, gas smell, dust, and gross furniture. We had asked the maintenance guy if the Hotel was full and he just rolled his eyes saying "no" there are lots of empty rooms. The next rooms were the same, with hair on the bathroom floor, not to mention carpet stains and dead beetles on the floor. We immediately checked out and drove to Lancaster where we stayed at the Willow Valley Resort. Although this is not a new hotl, it is very clean and for only $20 more per night at $99 we were given a very clean room, two large restaurants, three swimming pools, (2 indoor), a game room, playground, golf course, carriage rides, gift shop etc. We only had to drive 40 minutes the next day to get to Hershey Park, returning to Lancaster for the remainder of our trip. We also asked the Radisson about there so called "Sleep Number Beds" that they advertise. We were told that they do have a "few" of those beds but apparently those room cost more per night. I thought that was deceptive. They also advertise that there rooms have been refurfished but the furniture (all but the armoire's) were old and dingy. The beds looked gross too. I read tons of reviews before booking this hotel and none of them were really great in the Hershey area but this one didn't seem as bad as some of the others. It's so hard to book a hotel based on reviews so I hope this helps. Also, the main picture on my confirmation from the Radisson wasn't even a picture of this hotel. It was a picture of the city about 1/4 mile down the road across the river. Don't waste your time or money here. If your traveling to Hershey Park and Chocolate World, stay in Lancaster. There are lots of better hotels there and the Strausburg, Intercourse area that are a better deal and the drive is quite nice. Plus the restaurants, site seeing, shops, minature golf and so much more in Lancaster is great. We really enjoyed the Good and Plenty Restaurant. All you can eat for $14.95 for adults, $7.95 for kids and served family style. Good Luck on your searches.
