Clarion Hotel Broken Arrow, Broken Arrow

Husband and I stayed here one night and it was quiet and clean..Desk clerk polite and professional...Very comfortble beds and cozy..This is where we will stay when we go to Broken Arrow Ok.

My wife and I spent an evening alone at this hotel recently, it was pleasant. The staff was polite, and the room was clean. Also, our king bed was very comfortable. It was a saturday night and a prom night. There were a lot of prom kids there, but they weren't any trouble. There was also a wedding party staying the evening there, and though we were right down the hall from the in-hotel bar and its very loud music, we didn't hear any of the noise. The fitness center was very basic, but there was enough equipment for a simple workout, and there were plenty of towels. If I had to gripe about something, the bar didn't make the best tasting Irish coffee the world's ever seen, but it was strong. We'd certainly reccomend it.

Service was quick and speedy. Room was comfortable and location was convenient, right by the highway. We were impressed with the extras: nice pool & atrium,(even though not in season), nice workout room, nice standard rooms with refrigerators, microwave, coffe maker, and iron & board. Pleasantly surprised with alarm clock that featured MP3 connector (couldn't get it to work), the internet cafe in the lobby, the continental breakfast was tasty, and also impressed with all the cable channels available on the TV. Totally surprised that the standard room came with an actual closet with a light! Nice :) made me feel like I was at home. Loved the view...we had a balcony. Having a bar/restaurant on a floor of the hotel was a great escape. Room for change: make sure MP3 connectors work on the radio/alarm clock. Balcony door difficult to lock back, but eventually got it to work.

I have stayed a lot of hotels around the country. I am away from my family alot. I can honestly say that Everytime I come to broken arrow I stay here. It is great, the staff is welcoming and the rooms have been re-done. I try to stay on the 4th floor it seems to be the best. So overall a great hotel.

The beds are quite uncomfortable, but the worst experience came as a result of the hotel renting out numerous rooms on the floor we were on to some college kids having some kind of celebration - it was Saturday nite. We had traveled to Oklahoma for a 40th Anniversary party and got back to the room at around midnight. The college party went on til 3:30 am - in the hallway! We called the front desk numerous times but there was only one woman working and evidently she didn't carry much weight with the party animals. The noise was unbearable, we finally got some real rest between 4am and 8 when we had to get up to hit the road to leave. When we left, I was absolutely blown away by the mess that the party left in the hallways, elevator and lobby of the hotel...it was disgraceful...and worse, when I discussed it with the girl at the counter she just acted like it was a pretty normal Saturday nite for them...so, if you are a college age party animal, this is the place to go because they obviously don't care, but if you are paying for a room so you can get the rest you'll need, DON'T rely on this hotel.

The staff was very helpful. I would willingly stay there anytime.

Our first try at entering the room failed because the desk attendant negleceted to tell us you had to push up on the door handle instead of the traditional down. The next day the card quit working all together and had to be re-scaned. After each house cleaning visit we would have to call for coffee, cups, garbage can liners and once towels because she neglected to leave them. The ice machine was broken the entire 5 night stay and you had to go to the counter to obtain a breakfast coupon for the place next door instead of them delivering it with the morning paper. OH YEAH...we got the morning paper 2 out of the 5 mornings. :) The rooms are in need of serious up-dating. It reminded me an un-cool room from that 70's show. Before I sign off I must admit that when we were fed up and finally called management, they made it right. He was very accomodating and I appreciate his efforts and consideration. Even after with the managers attempts to make us happy I will definately think twice about staying at a Holiday Inn on future trips.
