I'll be back
By Kyle, 06/09/09
Stayed here a few weeks ago when my daughter played in a softball tournament. We loved the homemade cookies, fresh popcorn, breakfast buffet, and friendly staff. The rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable and the place looked brand new (we heard it had been remodeled about 3-4 years ago). The price was very reasonable and I would highly recommend it as a place to stay in Norman. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town again.

Very nice hotel
By J, 04/30/09
We stayed here a few weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. The outside is an older building that has had some cosmetic things done to make it have more appeal. But the best part is inside. Everything was new and very nice. The beds were comfortable and everything was spotless. All of the staff were very friendly and professional. We ate breakfast there every morning and the food was superb. We will return to Norman in a few months and will definitely stay here again.

Youth Softball-SrtikeOut
By Sandy, 02/28/08
I am a parent of a 16U girls fastpitch Travel Team located in West Georgia. Our team are scheduled to participate in a Tripple Crown Sports sponsored softball tournament in Norman at the time of the Womens College World Series. In preparation of this we had reserved rooms for the days of this event months in advance. Today we have been notified by the manager of this hotel they will not hold the rooms without payment up front. A credit card was not good enough to hold the rooms. The manager/owner was very cooperative and demanded payment. We've chosen to take our business elsewhere. Tripple Crown Sports has come to our aid and we have been contacted by a local Holiday Inn. They're glad to have our team and are honoring the price this hotel initially quoted. Beware of this Sooners Legends hotel. They do not seem to be very accommodating to out of town travelers.

They do not like children here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/12/07
We were staying at the hotel with my two year old. The hotel advertises on billboards and through other media to be very family friendly. We requested a room with no neighbors so our two year old would not disturb other guests. We were walking in the front lobby (well away from the guest rooms) around 6:00pm. My two year old was giggling loudly and jabbering about the "OU ball ball" pictures. He loves OU Football. The manager yelled at my two year old to "shut up..right now. We have guests to consider". It was very rude and hateful and it made him cry all the way back to the room because she scared him so much. I was extremely offended by this remark because first of all, we never use the words "shut up" with my son. Secondly, she could have expressed a concern with me if she thought he was too loud and I could have addressed the issue with him. I do not appreciate another adult disciplining my children for me. I would reccomend never staying here. This hotel is privately owned and therefore they have the attitude of "we are always right, not our customers".

Nickle and Dime
By Kevo, 11/09/07
Chose the hotel for the uniqueness, we where going to the OU vs Texas A&M game. The added features where the attached bar and restaurant plus the breakfast buffet. Things started going south when we arrived. Once we checked in, we walked into the hall of the hotel…nice pictures of former Sooner greats but the smell of stale cigarette smoke was overpowering. Once we got into the room we found a signed taped to the mini fridge and microwave saying…”If you want to rent the refrigerator, contact the desk, cost is $10 a night.” I walked down to the front desk to complain that for $160 a night they could unlock the EMPTY refrigerator. (By the way it was not unplugged, so this isn’t an energy use issue) I was told my the manager that not all rooms have fridges and it’s NOT FAIR! That I have a fridge and others don’t for the same price. I related it to an exit row isle seat on a plane…not everyone gets one, but you all pay the same price…For $160 a night they wouldn’t budge. They just stick it to people on game day weekends. The manager even made a snide comment about if I want to check out she could take care of that for me…I told her to find me a room comparable room in town for the same price on a game day weekend and I would. Next issue was the attached bar…At first it was ok, a little too smoky but ok. Appropriately it was a sports bar, another reason we picked this hotel was the attached bar/restaurant so we didn’t have to drive. The Sports bar goes karaoke on Friday night so instead of have a few drinks and dinner with friends watching the Friday games, we had to endure THE WORST karaoke I have ever seen in my entire life…fully equipped with some strung out air guitarist performing table to table…VERY WEIRD. The free breakfast was more boot camp quality than hotel breakfast quality. For the money stay a few block down at the La Quinta Inn and suites. They don’t charge for the Refrigerator and Microwave.

Great place to stay in Norman
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/04/07
My husband and I had a great experience when we stayed at Sooner Legends. The beds, linens, pillows were very comfortable and the rooms were very clean. We've traveled all over the world and this is one of the most comfortable hotels I've ever stayed in. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodated all our needs. They have an excellent restaurant & bar on premises. The breakfast was hot/homemade (eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, homemade muffins, fruit, juice, coffee - the works) and their other lunch/dinner specialties (we tried their BBQ and Mexican food) were delicious. We went to the bar one night and had a blast! They had Karaoke and we did a lot of dancing and singing. We will stay here each time we're in the Norman area.

Big Disappointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/19/07
Rude people, misleading web-site; we were promised a suite with a kitchen; not available when we arrived..."free" breakfast was only for 2 people in the room...unfortunately, nice hotel, but the hassles with the employees was not worth it. We will not go back and cannot recommend unless you are a big Sooner fan and willing to put up with poor service!

Unreliable Service!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/27/07
I had a room reserved for parents weeekend about a month ahead. Within a few days of stay I get a message on my phone saying that we must reserve the room for a second night and that you cannot stay there for just one night.
