Quality Inn Stillwater, Stillwater

This Hotel was by far the worst and most run-down I've ever stayed at. Was definitely not worth the rate. Customer services was awesome, but facility was not impressive. I will always read the reviews before booking a hotel room from this day forward.

The amenities are first rate - exercise room, ping pong, foosball, heated swimming pool and spa,the inroom goodies you'd expect, as in coffee maker, ironing board and iron - and in the single King room we stayed in a microwave and small refrigerator. The desk staff was young courteous and helpful. What is really surprising is the layout - it has the not unusual two floors overlooking parking lots on the east and west sides, but the interior of this motel,between the east and west sides (and enclosed on the north and south) is a huge roofed and landscaped courtyard that contains the pool, spa, fountain, seating for the restaurant and bar, as well as two floors of (interior) rooms on the east and west sides that have tables outside them overlooking this very attractive area. It provides a very large, controlled environment which was very pleasant in March - and one could assume, perhaps, in winter and summer as well. The continental breakfast provided is quite nice and well presented and we took advantage of ordering hamburgers and fries from the bar one evening, and the (courtyard) seating remains pleasant at night. Our business took us to the OSU Veterinary Hospital for the six days we stayed, and the motel is about four minutes from there and very convenient to Stillwater in general down sixth street, or through the campus on Hall of Fame Avenue. My impression of this motel is that some time ago different management had allowed it to deteriorate. It has come along way since then and all the staff I met seem determined to provide guests with a pleasant experience. All in all my wife and I look forward to returning.

It was very inconvenient to get to room 200 from the the first floor. No elevator to assist you. The pool closed at 11:00 P.M. on Friday night, and could have closed at 10:00 P.M. so people could get their sleep. (T-ball teams were there and making noise very late.) Also very inconvenient to get to the ice machine. (No ice or vending machines on the second floor.) The door frame was broke, and was hard to get into the room. An electical outlet was inoperable and had to recharge electronics near the sink. The "high speed" internet service stayed on very low or low the entire stay. Overall it wasn't as bad as other guests have rated Quality Inn, but it is definetely not worth the price.

For the money, one of the worst stays we've ever had. Very dirty room; large carpet stains, very smelly and dirty. Terrible shower! Water goes from your set warm tempature to scalding unexpectantly. Informed front desk of strong musty odor said they would take care of it. Not sure if they tried, no message that they did anything and had to buy a candle to burn in room while there to hide the smell. No continental breakfast on the weekend? Only hotel I've stayed at with that program. The food wasn't good anyway. Will never stay there again.

I had never been to Stillwater before and this was quite an experience. Front desk staff was very helpful in showing me how to get around Stillwater and around the campus. Stayed for about a week and couldn't have been treated any better. My car broke down and a maintenance man help to jump it so I could get it fixed. Stayed in king room, 226 and was very spacious! Not to mention this place had a bar, restaurant, pool, and hot tub in the hotel. I recommend this Quality Inn to everyone and will definately be returning when visiting my family.

If you enjoy potato chips in your bed, this is the place for you! If you like spoiled eggs and cold bacon, eat in their restaurant! If you want to teach basic computer skills to the manager, this is the place for you. In all my travels, never have I had such a bad experience. This place is simply gross. Everything is dirty and the staff has no idea what they are doing. One of my clients tried to call all evening and no one answered the switchboard. My company had to call me on my cell to tell me that my client was trying to confirm an appointment the next day! If this place is managed at all, they are in great need of supervision. Simply unbelievable.

Checking out of this dump was the climax of my stay. Rain pouring in everywhere, filthy room, a/c banged all night, went to bar for drink and front desk staff was in there getting drunk - obviously too busy to fix my a/c or get someone to clean the bowl movement mess off my toilet. Asked for discount at check out but General Manager had an arrogant demeanor and refused. Did not seem to care that a/c didn't work - didn't care that his staff (blonde desk clerk and assistant manager) were in bar getting drunk instead of providing hospitality to this guest. Didn't care that my luggage got wet from rain pouring in. STAY somewhere else.

Never have I had such an appauling experience at a hotel - this is a MOTEL in everyway from the service (General Manager is petty and unattentive) to the food, to the hot tub (frothy mixture of contaminants floating on water). I highly recommend you book somewhere else - this place is in a downward spiral.

This place is falling down! It used to be the Holiday Inn but now is the Quality Inn and I can understand why! Dirty room, hair in bathroom, unaccomodating management and unwillingness to recify issues. Stay somewhere else and save yourself the headaches.

This was the old Holiday Inn and now it is the NEW Quality Inn and what a change. Great staff, free breakfast, clean room, indoor pool, fitness room and so much more. I will be bac.
