Crowne Plaza North, Columbus

OH MY, I HAVE NEVER EVER FELT MORE NASTY IN A HOTEL THAN THIS ONE!!! DIRTY, NASTY, I EVEN TOOK PICTURES OF THE PLACE, IF THAT ISNT BAD ENOUGH WHEN WE GOT INTO BED THE SHEETS DIDNT EVEN FIT THE BED AND WERE HALF WAY OFF! CALLED THE FRONT DESK IN WHICH THEY SENT A MAN UP WHO CHANGED THE BED & WHILE DOING SO THREW THE CLEAN LINENS ON THE FLOOR WHILE STRIPPING THE SHEETS OFF! YUCK!!!!

While the front desk staff was friendly and helpful for the most part, one could ascertain that pennies are being pinched. This is not a four diamond venue by any means. The noise in the rooms is unacceptable. The cleanliness was marginal at best. prices for a drink at the bar were absolutely rediculous. While the menu was...ok it did not reflect the cost of the meal...way too much for a hotel for the business traveler just off the interstate. The only reason I would return is due to convenience to my business. I would expect a higher price in a downtown hotel, but would also expect much better services. It simply meets a necessity, that's all.

Unimpressed I have stayed at several Court Marriots before. This one by far was the worse. The room was dated to say the least. I do not know what was worse the uncomfortable sheets, the ugly yellow couch, or the fact that the TV remote did not work. The restaurant inside the hotel was sub-par and over priced. The overall service was excellent and the staff friendly. All in all I would have been ok for one or two nights but I was there for a week.

Oh my goodness. We felt like rednecks, but yes my husband and I did fish at this Marriott! We were beginning our vacation from North Central Ohio to Hocking Hills and attended a concert in Columbus and decided to stay a few days before heading on to vacation. We packed our fishing poles and were glad we did! There is an amazing pond in front of the hotel that spands many acres ... and it is highly visible from I71. And yes, we fished in it. The hotel itself was awesome. We got an amazing deal at Hotwire.com and loved every minute of our stay here. There were a lot of conferences and even a pageant going on but there was plenty of room for everyone. The indoor-turn-outdoor pool was amazing. The restaurant was grand along with everything else. The room was very nice and everyone was very accommodating ... even asking the manager if we could fish to which we got an enthusiastic YES! It took a bit of driving to get to the hotel, which was farther from the interstate than we thought. We would definitely stay here again.
