Crowne Plaza Hotel, Cleveland

No air conditioning on a very hot and humid day/night. No discount on room rate, not informed that the room would be like an Oven!!! Hotel should not have been renting rooms at all if they air conditioning was not working properly.

Could nto tell you anything about the hotel because lesstahn one hour from arrival, we rec'd a phone call that the A/C had gone out and were being re routed to another "very nice hotel" that was accpeting our reservations and honoring our rate for the night". It was a freakin' Holliday Inn! Of course they were honoring our rate - it's probably higher than if we had booked them in the first place. Put us 20-30 minutes away from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (where we wanted to be). I was told all hotels were "booked solid" in the city that night (it was a lie as we found out later). I have waited to post this b/c I wanted to see how "guest relations" would handle our complaint. We rec'd what can only be discribed as a form letter thanking us for bringing it to their attention and then nothing else. The upshot is that the Holliday Inn is owned by the same group that owns this hotel! No wonder they told us everythign was booked up - they did not want to lose our reservation even if it meant inconveniencing us.

NO AC!!!!!! We arrived to find out that the hotel just reopened yesterday after not having AC for 2 weeks. We were not notified of this at all. ALSO OUR ROOM WAS STILL WARM!!! The AC didn't work, and the front desk refused to give us a discount on our hot room. They then moved us to another room on the same floor (because it was the 'cool floor.' I guess they consider cool 80 degrees.) which is still really warm! The hallway is the coldest place in the hotel!! Not to even mention that the elevator to the garage keeps having major issues with its door (it wont close) and there are REALLY thin walls. DON'T COME HERE!!! CANCEL YOUR RESERVATIONS! WOULDN'T STAY HERE IF THE ROOM RATES WERE 5 DOLLARS.

We received a room and Cavs tickets for a birthday present. After the game we went to check in and were a bit taken at our first impression. Then we get onto the elevator and couldn't believe how dirty it was. Getting off on our floor we noticed stains all over the carpet but continued to our room. There we found stains on the nightstand from a previous guest and mold in the shower. We were also surprised how the rooms were so outdated! We were disgusted and decided to just go home. We asked the lady at the front desk if we left and didn't come back if it mattered and she said no, never asking us if anything was wrong! We won't be back!!

Had a great stay. Very nice hotel, great bed, fabulous views of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, waterfront, , etc... Nice downtown location very convenient to all of Cleveland. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A few minor updates/upgrades would make this a solid 4 star hotel, but still it was very nice, we will be back. A bonus was the great deal we got off TRAVELOCITY secret hotels. Definittely recommend it!

my boyfriend and i had a wonderful experience at the crowne plaza! The whole staff was amazingly friendly..We was on the 8th floor and had a wonderful view of lake erie and the rock and roll hall of fame. We will def. stay at this hotel again when we go back to cleveland they are in a grat location in walking distance of every thing that you would want to see in cleveland.. Thank you ever so much to the staff and everyone that works on the crowne plaza you made our stay a fun, and wonderful experience

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Great location (walking distance) to restaurants, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Steamship Walter G Mather, Browns Football stadium. 16th floor had great views. A little dated but the beds were comfortable, room was clean, bathroom was a decent size. Some construction outside but didn't interfere with our stay. Park yourself in the garage ($18 a night.) Restaurant for breakfast was ok. Get the buffet, it's the same price and buying something off the menu. Stopped at the bar for a drink and the bartenders were nice/efficient. Front desk lady checkin in had no personality and did not offer any suggestions but the morning front desk fellow was VERY helpful (thanks for the tip of police radar on the way to Football Hall of Fame, the directions and even a coupon for admission!) I would stay here again.

We had a most enjoyable stay at the Crowne Plaza. The room was wonderful and tastefully decorated. Our view from the 14th floor was amazing. We had fantastic views of Lake Erie, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Ballpark. You can walk to everything at this great location. We dined at the hotel restaurant. The prime rib was one of the best that I ever had. I highly recommend this hotel. It is a lovely place to stay. All the hotel employees were delightful and helpful. I will definately visit again.

The hotel screwed up our reservations and had to turn our king suite into a double bed room. The room had stained carpets and what appeared to be smoke damage to the light switch in the bathroom. The room was "sleep-able" but not for $175/night. It was more like $70/ night room. Save your money and get a different hotel!

I stayed here recently (last week) with my family. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel at home during our stay. The cleaning staff was a cut-above. We got the room for $65 a night on priceline.com and stayed three nights on the 19th floor with an awesom view of Lake Erie and the R & R Hall of Fame. For some unknown reason (don't know if was through Priceline or American Express), the hotel staff elevated us to some kind of preferred status and we were able to receive the usual $10.95 per person breakfast on the 21st floor for FREE every morning and were also invited back every evening between 5-10PM for hors derves and wine, beer, or soda. That alone saved us a ton of money, rather than having to go out to eat every morning, as we did for lunch and dinner. Upon check out, the manager also pleasantly surprised us with waiving the usual $18 per day parking and charging us only $5 per day. When asked why he was doing that for us, his reply was: "That is what we do for our customers, as we want to provide the best service possible." Between our 11-year old calling the front desk on a nightly basis and us asking for directions, etc.., they never lost patience and were completely professional and kind to us. Thank you, staff at Crowne Plaza, for making our trip to Cleveland UNFORGETTABLE. I would recommend you to anyone, any time. THANK YOU!!
