Never again

We arrived at the hotel and was quite pleased with the service and the look of the hotel on the inside. We had a pretty good rate at $180 a night. Once we were on the elevator and up to the 19th floor, it was downhill from there. The halls were hot and nothing was updated. In the room, it was no different from a Motel 6 or Super 8, only the bed was different. If I could rate the room on the bed alone, I would give it 5 stars. The walls were dirty and the rooms are very small. I have stayed in some Fairfield rooms twice this side for less money.
We walked in the bathroom and there was no bathtub. I later realized they had given us a handicap room without permission or giving a heads up. The menu was horrible. Not good choices at all. The menu is also very misleading. It says ANYTHING YOU WANT AT ANY TIME when in actuality, you can only order from the menu that is available at the time (breakfast, dinner, lunch, etc).
The disaster came when the elevators went out. Apparently, the rain from the thunderstorm that was occurring flooded the basement and all elevators had to be stopped. We had to walk down 19 flights of stairs. Before arriving back at the hotel, we called 5 hours later and the elevators were still out. The manager was nice enough to say 'I WILL GIVE YOUR MONEY BACK IF YOU WANT AND YOU CAN GET A ROOM SOMEWHERE ELSE'.
We made our way back to the hotel, retrieved our money and had to walk up 19 flights of stairs in a non air conditioned stairwell with hundreds of other people. It was humiliating. People were having chest pains, cold sweats, leg cramps, asthma attacks..you know it, we say it on one floor or another.
The staff was trying as best as possible to assist people but unless they were willing to retrieve everyone's belongs from their rooms and bring them to the lobby, nothing was good enough.
I give this a TERRIBLE rating only because of the elevator experience, the small and dirty rooms, menu, and the less than thrilling view of construction sites.
Hope your stay is better than mine.
FYI - We found a wonderful room at Baymont on Mayfield Road for $75 a night. Wonderful big rooms and great staff!
