Poolside rooms have no privacy with other guests walking by your window. No in-room high speed internet despite advertising. Large stain on carpet, some peeling paint and broken clothes line in bathroom. Close to Cedar Point. Convenient Perkins restaurant on premises.

As soon as you enter the hallway there is a stench of mildew. In our room there was a serious amount of mold in the bathroom including on the ceiling and even on the textured ceiling in the dressing area off of the bathroom. DO NOT stay here if you have mold/mildew allergies. I had a significant reaction! A letter is also being sent to the Ohio Health Department because BestWestern could care less!

I would echo the review of "slapphappy" who indicated "I would neer return". We were in room 145 and experienced the same damp, musty odor/feeling. We didn't bother to complain since we were there just 2 nights and had read the fine print re: early checkout. The location is great for Cedar Point but we were actually heading west so this was mote. The breakfast was the worst continental setup I've encountered and my wife wouldn't put anything into the microwave since it appeared to have not been cleaned in recent history. The grandkids did like the pool and the shower pressure/spray was good as another reviewer remarked. There was NO waffle maker. I made this reservation as a last minute and so paid around $50 for the Thursday but jumped to $120 for a Friday!!! So not worth the Friday rate!!!

We had a wonderful time. The place was clean and organized. The people were friendly and very kid friendly. I would definitely return.

BEWARE...there is a motel out back of the hotel and it is at least 50 years old, along with a house that was turned into a motel room??? WEIR!. Unfortunately our motel room was right next to the house/room and we were stuck there. It was moldy and musty smelling and the beds felt damp. Even after running the air conditioner the room didn't smell any better. Because I complained, they offered us a suite, but we would be charged another room charge and they also offered to spray air freshener, but I have asthma and refused. We would have changed motels/hotels but we had already been charged for both nights the day before we arrived. The breakfast was terrible and not as described. If you have ever seen the movie VACANCY this is the film location (just kidding, but that was our first thought). I'm just wondering why none of the pictures on the website show the motel???????

We atayed at this hotel for three nights and were very dissatisfied. Upon entering the room, we were hit with an intense moldy mildew odor. We believe it was coming from the air conditioning unit. After one night sleeping with this odor, our sinuses were burning. The dampness in the room was also so great that the carpet was moist to the touch. Needless to say, bare feet were not an option! The beds were incredibly soft and the sheets were too large, so they were constantly slipping off to expose the plastic mattress cover. Not a comfortable feeling at all! The shower was quite stained and the toilet had problems the whole weekend. At one point, my husband had to remove the tank cover and fiddle with something just to make it flush! This is unacceptable! Our final major complaint was that housekeeping did not come to our room at all after the first morning. We were left with dirty, wet towels on our floor. Not good, given the mold situation I already spoke of! Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our experience at this hotel. We hope other can have a better time than we did.

While it might seem convenient because its right across from Cedar Point, the traffic here is horrible. Check in took a half hour and there was no one in front of me. Rooms were filthy, one room had pubic hair IN THE BED! Bathrooms were gross. Rooms smelled like mold/mildew. THEN they had the audacity to charge my credit card a $250 cleaning fee claiming we were smoking in the room. When I asked them how they could even smell anything atop the mold, they stated that they have special detectors that are linked to the fire department, and the fire department calls and tells them someone is smoking- Which is by far the biggest load of crap I have ever heard. I did get my money back after I threated legal action... I would suggest staying at the Sandusky Travelodge. Same price, still not the BEST hotel-- But way better then this!!

This property is located close to Ceder Point and very convienent. BUT... The rooms smelled like mildew, my grandaughter and son in law had bug bites of some kind. Wallpaper was coming off the walls, the toilet had low pressure and didnt flush regularly. The restaurant was under staffed. I counted 18 empty tables, and still had to wait 45 minutes. Then one person in our party stayed in the room and got a call that we were late checking out and would have to pay an extra $50 if we didn't check out within 5 minutes. We left before we were even done with our food to get our things out!

Owner not willing to be fair. Air wasn't working and we had to be moved to a saller room. We had a AAA didcount and they would give us the rate for the smaller room we stayed in. I was told they were privately owned and they didn't have to do things like the big chains.

Dirty. Gross. Dated. Smelled bad. They had to wrap each piece of bread, muffins, fruit etc. in the continental breakfast so the bugs wouldn't crawl on them. Bad service. Would sleep in my car before I stayed here.
