Don't Waste Your Money
By StaceyK, 5/21/12
From both the outside and inside, this hotel is very run down. I have never slept on a more uncomfortable hotel bed. The sheets were worn and there were stains on the bedding. The TV channels were barely visible through static. The website states that free continental breakfast is offered but this is not true. The shower was stained and some of the lights in the room were non functional. There is an Indian restaurant on the premises which smells very bad and seems to attract groups of men that hang out there around the doors late at night. By one entrance there was even a spittoon bucket, filled with tobacco spit, that reeked so badly we chose not to use that entrance. One of the most frustrating things about this motel is that there is not enough parking to accommodate their guests. When we arrived back to the hotel one night around 8 pm, we sat in the parking lot for 45 min until someone finally left. Spend a few more dollars a night and stay in another hotel in the area. You won't regret it.

By Michael, 10/15/08
worst hotel we have ever stayed at. very dirty, woke up at 1am w/ mouse running across the floor. we were given another room just as dirty as the first room. will never stay there again. the only positive thing was the location.

not much to offer
By Damien F, 9/21/08
the location is good and the room was functional, but that is about all the positives I have about this hotel. the room in desperate need of repair. paint falling off bathroom ceiling, nasty looking shower, very hard bed, and filthy windows. as mentioned in another post, the indian restaurant on site was a joke. the take out menu had one set of prices, the menus when eating in were hand written in for $3-5 more. food was ok, but definately a filthy eating establishment. wont be going back there. if you just want a place to sleep and shower, this hotel will suffice. if you need to be in the hotel for any length of time, dont bother.

The hotel is OK.
The hotel was nice, but the indian restaurant (Kohinoor) was awful, and the breakfast had only muffins, tea and coffee. I would stay at the hotel, but the indian restaurant I would'nt eat there.

correction to last submission
By Tom B, 7/11/08
The gentleman who, wrote the last review was obviously @ the econo lodge on Niagara Falls Blvd, NOT Rainbow Blvd! This one has an indian kitchen on premises. Also though the carpet cleaners did a nice job on the carpets that they revived and aside from that the place is still a DUMP!

Continuing a ripoff tradition
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/25/07
The only thing decent about this hotel is the location. After paying $300 for a Sat/Sun night, we discovered there was very little parking. The hotel lobby was dirty and the windows filthy. The hallways looked as if they had not been vacuumed in month. The room looked clean at first, but on the last night we stayed, bugs (bedbugs?) came crawling out from the bed. The front door would close, but the deadbolt refused to work. The bathroom door had a hinge coming off and had to be lifted to get it to close. TV channels were minimum and the advertised wireless internet was not functioning. I put $1 in the soda machine and my soda was launched across the hallway into the opposite wall because the soda machine delievery chute was broken off. This provided the only reason to laugh during our stay. The best part of this hotel is the time we spent away from the room - really. Had we not paid for the room in advance due to worry of not finding accomodations, we would have run from this place as fast as we could. I will never stay in any Econo-Lodge because they let conditions like this exist under their corporate logo. This hotel is not worth your money at any price.

Dirty Restaurant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/3/07
Although we did not stay at the hotel, only being in Niagara Falls for the day, we did eat at the Indian restaurant on the premises (Kohinoor). The food was over-priced for what they offered. The bathroom was filthy. The chairs in the restaurant were filthy. We didn't want to know what the kitchen might look like. Needless to say we will never go back.

A tent or a box is a better option!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/21/07
Dislikes: Dirty place. Needs a good cleaning. Their free breakfast consists of stale blueberry muffins and regular coffee & tea. There are three floors here. Look at the size of the lobby (photo). It doesen't add up. No way are they going to accomodate anyone for "breakfast". We arrived early afternoon and the crumbs from the muffins were still on the table. We should have turned around then! Trash in this area was overflowing in the containers. Bathroom seat was broken in the room. Faucet sink was leaking. If your over 5'5" and 150 lbs. good luck taking a shower! Windows need cleaned all over the place. Staff not friendly at all. Very rude as a matter of fact. They supposedly had a half million dollar renovation. Where? I have no clue. How does this place pass a building and health inspection? Hey Choice Hotels, got any standards for a franchisee? Wow! You guys need to take a ride! I did write a complaint letter to Choice Hotels and I got an unsigned form letter back if that tells you anything. Likes: None, none & none.

Wouldn't recommend it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/27/07
We stayed there over the 4th of July week. my daughter was bitten by bedbugs. It wasn't until the last nite we were there, otherwise we would have moved to another hotel. she caught a couple of bedbugs in a water bottle around 3am, and we couldn't go back to sleep after that, since we were creeped out. she showed them to the checkout person...and we suggested they get pest control.
