Can someone please tell me what century we're in?

I can totally understand both
sides of the reviews(most LOVE the place and many of them added they liked
the "no children" policy. And some really despised it-one strictly b/c no
children and that he wasn't informed until after he checked in! Which makes
a BIG difference b/c it's sort of a way to get over on you! Not nice. He should've been
informed of this when reservation was made and nowhere on their website is there any mention of it-just put it out there-most seem to like it anyway-again, not nice). Although almost every positive reviewer lauded them for their "down to earth" feeling and service I tend to disagree. They don't seem to care if you're happy or not. That being said, I could easily get by that as I've already done it and returned.
But I can see where some of the poor people that did have legitimate
complaints are coming from. Plus the fact that they don't take credit cards
tips a few things off. They require a deposit that one of the
unhappy reviewers got f'ed out of. A 20 year patron stated that
they don't take credit cards because people might cancel payment due to a
change in weather. What is that? If I'm not mistaken all they have to do is write in a disclaimer on their site or inform people at
the time the reservation is made, by phone ONLY, of course. Don't get me
wrong. This place can take some responsibility for memories that cannot and
will never be undone for the times I've been there with my then girlfriend, now wife but JC get with the times already! There are ways of maintaining that nostalgic feel(which I'm sure many crave and get it fully here) while at the same time incorporating conveniences(like credit cards-may be only place on earth I know of that does not accept them-again what is that? See where I'm going with that?) that just about every business has. I wonder if they got paid with counterfeit cash if they'd stop being so stubborn. Oh, one more thing. As far as the outdoor grills, bbq's, whatever, I wouldn't cook a steak for my dog on those things! Hey! Other than all that it IS a pretty place. One warning, one of the prettiest areas will be under construction thru '07 so keep it in mind. Panoramic View owner, manager, employee, fan I sincerely hope you can open your minds a bit. Also buyers beware that if you're starving at, say 1am, you're SOL here!
