No breakfast, loud rooms, extra fee
The hotel's web site advertises a complimentary Continental breakfast with fruit, orange juice, and fresh baked goods from Mary Spellman included in the price of the hotel room. Our experience was that there was no orange juice, fresh baked rolls, or fresh fruit provided for breakfast. The only thing on the breakfast counter was coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and FourULu2 brand bagels each hermetically sealed in plastic bags. They were not freshly baked as advertised on the hotels web site.
Another travesty was that they charged an additional 8% to our bill for the snack bar in the room, whether or not any of the items in the snack bar were consumed. The snack bar consisted of two small bags of chips, 2 bottles of water, and 2 cans of soda. I find it disgraceful that such a large fee is added for these few items regardless whether or not the items are consumed, and that the consumer cannot opt out of this fee.
The rooms were large and clean, but the traffic from adjacent Highway 27 was quite loud. Also, the photos make it seem like a resort, when in fact it is a roadside motel.
