Big deal - not worth it!

Our first time in NYC and here is what we found at the Hilton. Upon check-in, the individual processing our reservation (at $300 per night no less) didn't even look up, much less act cordially. The male at the concierge desk acted as if I was interrupting his personal time with my questions....I simply thought that was his job?? We were on the 31st floor for four nights and NEVER had hot water. Yes we told the front desk, but they didn't warm the water. The room is spacious and was clean. However, it was not fully restocked on two of the mornings (soap, lotion, etc.) The service in the lounge was slow and generally unfriendly. It is a good location, but in my opinion, clearly did not live up to the reputation that Hilton is trying to display. I'll look elsewhere next time. $300 is a lot to pay for cold showers and mediocre service.
