Very Dissapointed

Unfortunately, we never got to stay at this establishment due to the person whom we contacted 2 days before our trip. The woman we spoke to & made plans with, insisted we need NOT give her our creditcard number. She took my phone number & name, and the fact that we were 3 in # of people staying. We had requested a Non- smoking-King size bed with the refrigerator. I specifically asked if we could request a Microwave for the room, and she said yes, for an extra charge of $5 a day. She gave me a total of the cost (with our AAA membership) and said just present all the credit cards at the desk. It would be easier to charge us once we got there because it would be harder to chang the reservation, had we changed our minds about the fridge or microwave. Now that I think back, she never gave me her name, and for all I know , it could have been one of the maintenance people who answered the phone. The reservations were for two nights,11/22/07 & 11/23/07.
I will never stay at Econo Lodge should I need a place to stay; I will certainly NOT suggest any of my friends or relatives to use your establishment either. To think you have secure plans & then come to find out that We weren't in the computer w/ reservations once we got there is very disturbing to say the least. If I hadn't asked 3 times if the woman wanted my credit card - what more was I supposed to believe, if she kept repeating that it wasn't necessary. Thank heaven a relative came through with his place for us to stay at. With a 2 year old we weren't about to scour the area for a place to stay. Respectfully, Eileen M.
