dirty jacuzzi tub and NOT located in Huntington!
My partner and I were coming to a show at the Huntington IMAC which recommends this hotel as it's a sponsor. The hotel's website makes it look rather upscale and nice. We were really disappointed. The man working at the front desk was polite and friendly and told me to enjoy our "newly renovated room," but the room had several problems: the jacuzzi tub was dirty (it had what looked like wood chips in it), the door lock did not work, the bed was uncomfortable, and the breakfast in the morning was laughable: bad coffee (but no milk or sugar -- just an economy sized vat of coffee mate powder), and a couple of plain bagels (but no butter or cream cheese). We paid $130 total for the jacuzzi suite, but I think we could have paid around the same price for a nicer experience. Also, the Huntington Country Inn is actually in Huntington Station, which is a good 10-15 minute drive from downtown Huntington. So while it's not exactly far, I wish I had done more research to find a hotel closer to the IMAC theater, preferably in walking distance from downtown Huntington. I thought the $130 seemed like a good deal when I booked the hotel, but now I'm mad we paid that much for our night's stay.
