A Terrible Hotel to Stay.
By jefreliza, 8/6/11
A very smelly mold gives me headache and sauna is not working. Carpet is sticky. My husband complain of people the next rooms are noisy, TV is in a high volume. He asked the receptionist to move us in another room to be more quite and comfortable but the lady said "because we used the COUPON we took from the RoomSaver magazine for a discount so we should have this room". If we like to move then we give an additional pay. My husband insist and said "he needs to sleep for a bussiness meeting the next day", and the lady gave us the room in a building behind the reception area. Building # 130 -135..SMELLY and BEDBUGS. This hotel is under construction and the system also needs to reconstruct.

Sketchadocious

Never stay here, we came home and my husband had bed bug bites all over his body which was confirmed by his doctor. Rooms are dirty, and smell like mold. Staff very unfriendly. We would rather sleep in our car or a tent.

Never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/13/09
Could not understand the hotel staff, they spoke broken english. Rooms looked like they were renovated but still needed a lot of attention. Sheets were so thin you could see through them. Did not feel comfortable

Better than Other expensive Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/19/09
Original country style stay and beautiful garden area. Hotel has brand new rooms now, not like before. Hotel staff is friendly. Location was little far from our destination that's only bad part. and Shuttle service has limitation for trip.

dirty jacuzzi tub and NOT located in Huntington!
By Donald O, 5/9/09
My partner and I were coming to a show at the Huntington IMAC which recommends this hotel as it's a sponsor. The hotel's website makes it look rather upscale and nice. We were really disappointed. The man working at the front desk was polite and friendly and told me to enjoy our "newly renovated room," but the room had several problems: the jacuzzi tub was dirty (it had what looked like wood chips in it), the door lock did not work, the bed was uncomfortable, and the breakfast in the morning was laughable: bad coffee (but no milk or sugar -- just an economy sized vat of coffee mate powder), and a couple of plain bagels (but no butter or cream cheese). We paid $130 total for the jacuzzi suite, but I think we could have paid around the same price for a nicer experience. Also, the Huntington Country Inn is actually in Huntington Station, which is a good 10-15 minute drive from downtown Huntington. So while it's not exactly far, I wish I had done more research to find a hotel closer to the IMAC theater, preferably in walking distance from downtown Huntington. I thought the $130 seemed like a good deal when I booked the hotel, but now I'm mad we paid that much for our night's stay.

Booked ...
By J S, 5/21/08
We were disappointed to find out all the rooms at the HCI were booked for our latest trip. I even tried to sneak in from different booking agencies on the net. Our first order of business was to book this hotel and when it didn’t happen it threw our whole crazy plan off. So much for this place being a well kept secret … great rooms, great beds and great showers/baths … I am a real person and I do approve this message!

Every thing was great especialy the front desk clerk named john.He was exeptionaly helpfull to my wife and myself during our stay. The resturants that john recommended to us where some of the best we have ever been to.This young man has so much knowledge of the hotel businness he should be running his own hotel.

Visit to Long Island
Well appointed room and conveniently located. I used the free Wi-fi service for checking email, etc. -- nice extra. Great breakfast buffet. The staff was very helpful and it was all-around a good stay.

Well worth the trip
By Susan, 10/17/05
This is one of the nicest places I've been in 2 years; and I am in motels approximately 2 weekends a month. The room was beautiful, clean, comfortable. The jacuzzi tub was great. Local restaurants and shopping were convenient and finish it off with an excellent breakfast, with an ample choice of food. I can't wait to go back!

Nice Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/23/04
I've been to this hotel several times and I have always been happy with the rooms and the staff is very nice and helpful. I was on business both times that I stayed there so this was just a room to sleep in.
