This is most horrible experience I had. Even the hotel located inside of the West Point and has a long history; there are a lot of bad factors about this property.
When I arrived, there was no bellman, so I had to carry my entire luggage to the front desk and then upstairs. Then, I had to come down and re-park my car across the street down the hill, as there is no valet parking was available. There is a railroad right next to the hotel, so when you tried to sleep, you get freight passing every hour or so with the loud horn signal. AC unit sounds like a boiler, so its impossible to sleep.
Restaurant Manager, who acted as host, was so busy with the waiters, so I had to wait about 10 minutes before get to the table. Waitress had no clue about the menu and whats on it. Forget about wine, even they had a list, nobody knew anything. Food was horrible: over salted and oily. Finally, got overcharged by the waitress. Now I understood what the problem was when Restaurant Manager was dealing with the waiters when I arrived. Apparently, I wasnt the first person who got overcharged.
There is only one good thing about this place: you can smoke in the bar!!!! And this is February 20, 2005!
