A weekend of splendor

It provided a beautiful setting for escaping the hustle and bustle of NYC. You hit the ferry and just automatically slow down. The apartment was lovely and very comfortable, and the grounds impeccable. Swimming pool, tennis courts and a great view. What more could you ask for?

Wonderful Stay

Our room was surprisingly big and perfect for our 3 year old and 2 month old. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room & decoration. Can't wait to return to the Dering Harbor Inn and Shelter Island.

Don't bother to stay anywhere else!!

This is my very favorite place in our country & I have been everywhere. Sherry is my favorite hostess of the Island!! Best view in New England!! Everyone is kind & caring. Jano Stack, Santa Barbara, CA

Beautiful Grounds

We stayed for 2 nights, the accomadations were fine.The only request would be to add a second TV to the bedroom.We ate at the restaurant and were very dissapointed, quite pricy and the food was average.The grounds are lovely and well maintained, yes I would go back for a vacation but would most likley ferry to Greenport for Dinners.

Simple yet gorgeous

With a view like the one at Dering Harbor, you don't need anything else. But wait, there's more: tennis courts, basketball net, badmiton nets, picnic area, and a pool too! Don't go for the rooms, which are perfectly fine for sleeping. Do go for the location - which remember, IS everything!
