Coming to my own defense
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/03/08
The guest who wrote their so called "review" gave a completely distorted and unfair description of their experience, not to say inaccurate.
I have been here for just shy of 20 years and never have I encountered a couple with an adult daughter who were so pushy and totally disrespectful to me as Manager and our Inn's policies.
They neglected to say that after their outburst at our front desk, I rose above the unfortunate situation and allowed them to stay here at a much lower rate than usual, most especially during the Labor Day Holiday.
We have hundreds of repeat customers and new ones who will happily return to our lovely and unique Inn.
I have come across some difficult people in my past, it is expected at times to encounter problems in the hospitality business, yet I never have ever dealt with a family who wrote this about me personally or professionally.
They also did not mention that I offered them their money in return and they could go without any penalty, but they opted to remain and enjoy their three day visit here with us in a spectacular waterview suite.
We, or should I say, I, enjoy people and respect them when it is reciprocated.
Obviously this family will not be returning here if they were that unhappy and dissatisfied with their checking in procedure, but I say, this is their loss.
Respectfully and professionally submitted.
PS. My assistant will now put on this Yahoo Travel, quite a few positive, accurate, and honest guest's reviews and opinions.
Thank you!
