Misleading!!

The pictures on this site must have been taken when the hotel was new...possibly 1940's?? The hotel is very run down. I wasn't looking for a palace to stay in but feeling safe and having the water run clear would have been good. It is apparent that this hotel is not used (at least the room we stayed in) very much. Windows were open when we got there and when i went to use the water it ran brown before clear. There was markings on the door where someone had tried to break in. If i had been by myself i would have left and sought out another hotel.

Great Hotel

It was a great hotel, I stayed there a few nights. I paid for most of it with a free gift card that I got from ESPN. I think they're still giving them out at nflgiftcards.info, hurry before they run out!

Won't stay there again....

I booked a "suite" and was very disappointed. Spiders in the bathroom, sheets came off the bed. Garbage (pantyhose, junk) behind the TV stand. Very limited electrical outlets. I wouldn't have put anything in the refrigerator - looked gross. Of course the price was jacked up because of the dog show this weekend ($286 for two nights)!! Will not stay here again for sure.....

Not the Ritz ,but not bad , well worth the price . Beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. Dead bolt on door was broken ,but i never felt unsafe.

It's ok

I have stayed at this hotel once and am going to stay again. I go to stay out there to visit friends. This hotel is close to where my friends live and my last job. I can go visit everyone, it's a decent place to stay. It's not spectacular. But you get it for a cheap price, it's close to shopping and restaurants. The service is ok. Don't expect to get the Hilton here, but it is a nice place to stay.

Because of the reviews we read we almost did not book a room, but then decided to give a try. We were pleasantly suprised with our room. We had three(3) double beds and they were all okay.The linens were clean, we had plenty of towels and the room was not bad either. This is not a new motel by any means and there were a minor things that could be improved. The tub did not drain properly and the front window was very dirty.We reported these problems to staff who seem glad we did. The location is good with plenty of resturants an shopping close by. We felt it was a good value and would not be afraid to stay again. Bonus--It was half the price of most the other motels.

Decent Inexpensive accommodation

We were four ladies, past middle age, off for a weekend shopping trip. We booked America's Best Value Inn in Geneva with great trepidation because of the bad reviews we had read, but the price was right and we decided to give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised by the clean sheets and towels, the new carpets and upholstry and the friendly staff. Yes, the paint was peeling in one corner of the ceiling where water had obviously dripped through, and the drapes were askew. But the neighbourhood was safe and convenient and the room served the purpose of inexpensive, affordable accomodation. Most of the other guest were middle age, middle class families attending graduation, weddings etc. If you are looking for a Hilton, then this is not the hotel for you. But it certainly served us well and they seem to be trying hard to upgrade the rooms. The breakfast was coffee, juice, bagels and cream cheese with jam or toast etc. In other words not unhealthy fare and enough to start you off in the morning. I would go back.

Worst motel in America!

Holy cow! I've never been in a more disgusting place in my life. The sheets would not stay on the bed, forcing us to sleep on a dirty, sagging mattress. The bathroom was dirty, the bathtub was stained and unuseable. The rooms are very small and cramped, and the staff is completely unaware that they are running a dump!

What we expected

The price was right, for $75.00 a night it is exactly what I expected. If you want a safe place to sleep and shower while you explore Geneva this is perfect, if you want all of the extras that a 5 star hotel gives you at $75.00 you will be dissapointed. The room was clean and odor free, the bathroom could have been a little better(put on a hair net when you clean the tub)but over all it fit our needs and we had a great night in Jah-knee-vah.

Don't ever stay here

I did not like that it was not only unclean but lets just say when we arrived and opnened the door to our room it reeked. It smelled like an elephant had used it for a rest room. When we went to the front desk they told us they would move us.... to the room next to us. They did not looked surprised that the room smelled. We looked at the next room and yep it smelled also. We then said we wanted a refund. "No refunds" I asked to speak to the manager and he came to us and said "I will give you our best room" Okay we thought lets see about this, so we followed his assistant to the "best" room. We tried to keep up but he ran ahead of us. Then we found out why. He was spraying the room with some sort of stinky air freshner. We said no thanks and he then said wait one more room at which time he offered us a room that was apparently just finished under remodelng. We accepted and stayed but vowed to never stay again.
