I stay here regularly
By William, 12/14/09
I come to Las Cruces about once a month and we always stay at this hotel. My wife uses the fitness room and my daughter and I love the pool. It is a small pool but it is indoors so swimming is available all year round. Some of the rooms are updated with refrigerators and are nice, others are less so but all the rooms we have stayed in are clean. I've only eaten in the restaurant once and it was O.K.. They do offer a complementary breakfast that is better than most but not quite a full breakfast or made to order experience, but it's perfect for what we need. Rates are consistently $90-100 per night in my experience but they list on this website at $68?.

The service was good, employees were nice and helpful. The room was very nice and very comfortable. I will probably stay there next time I'm in Las Cruces.

Las Cruces Ramada
By Billy B, 7/21/08
Lobby, front desk, pool, and restaurant very nicely laid out and very clean. The ice machines were out of ice, the restaurant was out of orange juice, roof in hallway on 2nd floor was leaking, no elevator available for physically limited, and the beds were like sleeping on granite. If you want to hang out in a lobby, this is a great stay.

Avoid this place
By Dana, 6/20/08
The service at this hotel was terribly - actually the staff were just plain rude. The lobby was OK, but the room was dingy. If you're looking for a hotel near the University, there are other options - try something else.

disappointed

The lobby area is very nice and shows some signs of being updated. Our room was clean, but in need of paint. Painters were working all night long not far from our room and we were not told that upon check in. The charge for the room as compared to other properties in the area is much to high.

Read this before going

I chose this hotel because with Holiday Inn, you can expect basic satisfaction. They list a swimming pool, but it is actually a "play pool" for children; you could not do a lap in it. Also, it is located inside the lobby! So not much privacy for you or the rooms whose doors are yards away. I could hear children playing (screaming) until 9pm though I was in another hallway. Though the weather in Las Cruces is generally wonderful, you cannot open the windows for fresh air. Instead, on a 70 degree day, you must turn on the a/c; otherwise the room is quite musty and smells of cleanser.
