Decent Place, but mediocre food, torn blankets
By VASU, 03/30/09
-despite the place being fairly new, the blankets under the bed cover was cheap (some sort of synthetic flannel) and had large visible tears in it -washroom had no mosturizer, only shampoo and soap -restaurant had very few vegetarian options -cheap beer! -good shower, 24 hour snack reseller as well -close to the airport, free shuttle, frequent service

Stay where flight crews do
By PAAuthor, 11/05/07
Hotel is located on the northbound side of US Routes 1-9 (Spring Street) near westbound North Avenue in Elizabeth NJ, within a mile of Newark International Airport. It seems popular with airline crews on layover. The lobby and guest areas are opulent by mid-price standards, with rich-looking wood and marble finishes, and spacious. The hotel has a cafe, guest store, full restaurant and bar, both indoor and outdoor pool, fitness center, and business center. We didn't use the restaurant; cafe had varied menu choices but was slightly high-priced ($3 for a deluxe blueberry muffin). The printer was not working in the business center when it was needed, but staff provided an alternative at no added cost. Fitness center had several machines and was regularly occupied. Indoor pool was little-used, well stocked with spare towels; water was a little too cool. A $15 fee is charged for parking during every 24-hour period, which is common for some but not all neighboring competitors. Room was of smaller size (16' x 14'), and was clean. Furniture was slightly worn, and carpet was stained. Internet service was free and worked well. Bottled water was supplied free. TV reception was clear and sharp. Bathroom toiletries were well supplied. Shower water pressure was strong and continually hot. Price was an acceptable value; we paid $95 for a Saturday night during November 2007 while attending a concert at Prudential Center in Newark NJ, five miles away.

I will go back next time
By fratleyave, 07/30/07
I liked the lobby decoration as well as the room decoration. The room seemed relatively new, the beds were nice. There was an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, as well as fitness amenties. There was a restaurant as well as a newstand sort of cafe. The restaurant's breakfast buffet was ok, there wasn't too much, but what was there was good. I enjoyed my stay but I don't think I will be eating at their restaurant if I go back next time.

Not Bad
By Paul Tupelo, 11/22/06
Though tricky to get into, the 4-points Sheraton is not a bad Hotel. Friendly staff with a very nice resturaunt so that you don't need to try and find a place for dinner. They should however right easier to follow directions.

Rude and dirty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/06/06
I don't know what bothered me more, the rude front desk staff or the room that smelled like toe jams and the inside of a vacuum cleaner bag or the moldy, mildewed shower?

TERRIBLE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/06
I can't believe this place is part of the Sheraton chain! The toilet ran for long periods of time. The bed was hard; the maid forgot to bring us a bath mat and fresh soap almost every night. When we called the front desk they refused to bring to the room stating they were too busy. Front desk staff very rude. The only positive was the restaurant staff; food was decent.

BED LICE
By OscarS, 10/19/06
I visited New Jersey on Oct. 12, 2006 and stayed there for a few days. Before I left i had to take two showers just to shake off the disguesting condion I had found in this hotel. My first nights was ok I spent most of the time with a friends in New York. But, upon waking up on my last day of stay at the four points hotel I awoke to find bed lice on my pillow and on the covers.I immidiately called the hotel manager and explaid the situation to him. It took the staff about a half hour to actually come visit the room and examine the bugs and verify that indeed it was bed lice. The staff were terrible in handleling the situation, they lacked communication and handle it extreemly poorly. Halariously they offered me a free breakfast at 12pm. which i thought that was strange but at that time I had only one thing in mind. Packing my stuff and getting out of that horrific hotel. Shame on the Sherraton for not keeping their facilities clean. Shame on them...

not worth it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/10/06
Room is not sound proof. You can hear the noice of the traffic even though you are at floor 11.You can clearly hear the noice from neighbouring rooms. Room is not clean.Carpets are very dirty. Pool was closed. Dont depend on the shuttle. We waited for one hr and made 3 phoce calls before we got the shuttle.I am talking about the shuttle service at 8AM.If they had told us that it would take time, we could have rented a cab, but instead they kept telling shuttle is on the way. Some of the services listed in their website are not there.. like Microwave, cordless phone, and so on..

Will never stay here again
By PAPA SMURF, 06/24/06
One dislike make all paying hotel guest pay for parking with no other available free parking. Very clean, but small rooms. my television gave me many problems and the remote control didn't work.

Newark Airport 4Points Sheraton
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/03/06
The bed was comfortable. The shuttle service to the airport is great...every 1/2 24 hours per day. The room had two phones...one was not plugged in. Some lights didn't work. Apparently the reconstruction is still under way. They forgot to make up my room. I was gone from 11 a.m. until after 5 p.m., and then I had to ask for my room to be cleaned. The guy who cleaned my room threw away small personal items in the bathroom...conditioner, toothpaste, mouthwash. It was a good chance to get new stuff. The hotel is difficult to get to if you are driving. New Jersey has restrictive traffic patterns which discourage left turns. I saw the hotel from across the divide and it took about 20 minutes to find a way to get to that side of the road. There are no restaurants within walking distance. If you are driving, the whole area is difficult to navigate. This is a good hotel, but if you like to eat you might need to find a different location.
