Royal Hawaiian Resort Motel, Wildwood Crest

we have been going there for seven years. the staff always remembers us from year to year and also our freinds and family that stay here. the rooms are spacious and always clean. the maids are very nice and keep the rooms spotless. pool is fantastic.we are going again this year. forget all the bad reviews, take it from me this is the best place to be. you will have a great vacation.

Our family's been going every summer since 1992. The pools are beautiful and clean. You're right on the beach with your own private entrance. The rooms are clean and spacious. The food on site was good. Plenty to do, including an arcade, sun deck, bbq area, kiddie pool, adult pool, restaurant, shuffleboard. 1 parking space included. Corner location that provides easy stop to the trolley to the boardwalk. Love going here!

The Royal Hawaiian Hotel was "good" We got to the hotel and for one thing, the parking spaces are literally 1-cm away from each other, it was impossible. So we check in and get everything unloaded(we had no problem with the staff) , and realize.. There was only like 7 luggage roller things! That became a hassle, but it was worth the workout. LOL. My Family and my best-friend's family booked the I rooms. we had 6 people and it only held 4, but we managed. The room had great air conditioning, but once we got there the room smelled really musty..so bad we had to go to CVS and get an air fresher. THE POOL WAS AMAZING! there's enough room to fit over 200 people in there, thats how huge it was! Another love was the hot-tub and how close we were to the beach. It was great not having to walk a mile just to get to the beach, and I'm not a huge fan of walking on HOT sand LOL. i wasn't too fond of the price, it was almost 20 grand.. yeesh. My family came from New York which took about 7 hours to get there. Once we arrived at the Royal Hawaiian hotel, across the street was the Singapore. apparently it was "karaoke night" but after out long drive, i was about to go nuts listening to tone deaf intoxicated singing. But over all our Vacation of 2009 was very enjoyable, so i would recommend this hotel to a friend =]

The hotel was not too bad (bring Lysol) BUT if you have ANY hair on your head or just want a good shower,.. Don't stay here! We stayed from 9/25-9/27/09 and there was NO water pressure! I had to use a pitcher from the cabinet to rinse my hair! Maybe the pressure was better in other rooms that cost more! Other reviews about the front desk personnel were true..not much of a personality and not very friendly. We asked to see the room before we paid and it was like we were bothering the front desk associate!!

Overpriced for what they provide!!! The room and a horrible smell and when the kids went to get in bed they were "grossed out" by the smell in the bed. WHen KIDS complain it is bad. Kids would not sleep in bed and we left with no refund. THe room was only used to take a shower. The only nice thing about this place was the POOL!

Stayed 1st week of august. caught maid in my drawers then discovered bras missing. front desk was notified immediately and did nothing. Police said reports were common from this hotel. maid still works there. Rooms smell and the furniture, bed-spreads and bathrooms are all dated , falling apart and stinky. we paid for a long weekend stay but left early morning on Sat after 1 night. never got a refund. STAY AWAY OR YOU WILL BE SORRY!

This place was a very expensive dump. It was filthy dirty, the feet on the little kids were black from the filth. One of our rooms smelled like urine. They were never cleaned by the staff and we had to ask repeatedly for towels and toilet paper. Once we returned home, we discovered that we left a bag with the DS in it. Called and was told they had the bag but not the DS. The staff could have cared less and even accused me of making it up. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever.

THE POOL IS THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS PLACE. FIRST MY ROOM STATED THAT IT HAD A STOVE AND AN APARTMENT SIZE REFRIGERATOR AND IT DIDNT. THE ROOM HAD A MUSTY AND WET ODOR. NO TISSUES, NO IRON. IT IS TIME THEY UPDATE THIS HOTEL. THE PEOPLE WORKING THE FRONT DESK WERE NOT THE MOST FRIENDLY EITHER. LOOK FOR ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY THIS ONE IS NOT WORTH IT

This was a standard American beachfront hotel not a 4 star joint but not like a lot of theses other reviews either . We stayed in 6 rooms ( as a group of 12) 2 rooms were a bit musty (oceanfront rooms) but that was cured with a dryer sheet in the a/c intake and all the rest was standard fare if you want luxury this isn't it but if you are looking for a good hotel with clean rooms and beds then go 4 it after reading a lot of the reviews we were worried but it was definitely comfortable and had a nice pool/hot tub and a little area to BBQ w the family I guees you get what you bring with you will be back (6/1-6/6/09

We have been going here for at least the last 9 years. We have tried other places but none compare with Royal Hawaiian. It has been our special place every summer. Sometimes our daughter and her family join us. They also love coming here. Thanks Royal Hawaiian
