Can't understand...

I've been reading all the reviews and can't understand why so many are negative. My family and I have been stying at this hotel for over five years, in fact, we usually call for reservations within the first couple weeks in January. Each visit the staff gives us our favorite room on the forth floor.
I can understand some of what people are saying, I mean, yes, the rooms do have a musty smell to them. I've been going to wildwood every year since I was six, not just once but two, sometimes three times a year and have stayed in almost every place in the crest (plus one in the heart of Wildwood and a few in North Wildwood)..the thing is, these places are all older so of course they're all going to be musty. It's just like someone else had posted, you're staying in Wildwood, NJ...Others have mentioned the staff seems a bit on the colder side. I personally think that's just the way they are. They've always been very sweet to my parents but seem a little more distant towards myself. I think they start to warm up once they get to know you but like I said, that's only my opinion.
I've stayed in this place for a long time and love it. It's near the beach, in the Crest, has a funky look to it, and is a Doo Wop motel (for those who don't know, that's a preserved motel from the 50's or 60's).
If I have anything to complain about it's that little kids are allowed in the hot tub. Each time I try to go in to relax with a good book, it gets swarmed with kids who splash, and kick, and don't bother to look where they're going. Personally, I feel they shouldn't allow younger children in the hot tub, besides, they usually spend long periods of time in it which can't be healthy. If anything, that's what the staff should work on. Aside from that, I've never experienced any of the other things that people have complained about.
Seeing all the mixed reviews, I'd say the best thing to do would be to try it out yourself.
