Great combination of Location, Facilities and Friendly Staff. Nice Rooms. Small Pool for the size of the Hotel, but who goes to a beach front hotel to sit around the pool. Restraunts are OK in a pinch, but there's better food to be had on the boardwalk.

I just don't know what to say...
By Tatyana, 06/12/09
We had group of seniors citizens visiting Ocean City for 3 days. Every thing was pretty good exept for the day of departure. The cleaning lady was knocking on the doors at 7:30am, and by the time the seniors came back from breakfast their belongings were outside of the room! I called the manager with whom I made the reservations, but she couldn't explain what was is going on. We had previously arranged for an 11:00am check out time. Your staff acted in the most unprofessional manner imaginable. We will not be visiting your location in the future and we will not recommend your hotel.

Cancelled with little notice or care
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/30/08
My husband and I have celebrated our anniversary at The PortoCall for the past several years. I was careful to make our reservation early so that we would have no trouble getting a room. One week before our scheduled arrival we were notified that our reservation was cancelled due to storm damage the previous weekend. The reservationist said that reservations for the top two floors were being cancelled. I understand that you cannot control Mother Nature, but the way the cancellation was handled could surely have been handled differently. I feel that if any cancellations had to occur that the latest reservations should go first not the people who were placed on the top two floors. The reservationist was cold and barely offered an apolgy. He made no attempt to help us with reservations elsewhere except to name another hotel that might be comparable. I think some sort of compensation should have been offered for our inconvience such as a free night on our next visit or some sort of discount for future visits.

Too expensive
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/08
This place is way overpriced. They even charge you a $10 dollar a day internet use fee. The furniture is outdated and the beds are very unconfortable. The food is lousy. I would never go back.

Best Hotel in OC
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/08
This is one of the nicest hotels i been to in Ocean City. The views are fabulous with the balconies along with the outside heated pool. The staff and service, i couldnt ask for more, from checking you in with a smile to checking you out with memories to last. Hope to come back soon. ;)

Paradise in New Jersey
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/06/08
Our family has been vacationing here for 12 years and it is excellent. The location is great. The staff is very helpful and the hotel is very clean. The pool is luxurious and what I love is being by the ocean and relaxing. Also the restaurant has playstaion for the kids so the adults can actually have a great meal.

Can't wait to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/08/08
Liked the view and the way we were taken care of while we stayed . The service was outstanding.Very excessable to beach, food, and boardwalk which makes it easy for families traveling with teenagers old enough to go out on there own to go about and explore without the parents tagging along.

mixed bag
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/07
We love the location and expected excellent service - but have had front desk issues with two stays. We heard about the friendly atmosphere and excellent service but found the front desk people less than friendly and we were made to feel we were bothering them with small requests. An apology came online with an offer for a price reduction on the next stay - but when we booked the next stay the person who made that offer would not respond to a phone call or emails. On the second stay we hoped to have a renovated room but were put in a smaller room with a tiny bathroom due to a large overnight room block that came in the middle of our stay. We are nice people with few needs - who is getting all this great service?
